I have been on a couple boards in the last 12 years. When we first started one, a group of us were already friends and knew each other in person so some of us signed in with our real names. On the boards was different that real life and we never crossed the two in harassment or spite. Additionally when I posted pictures I did not know that one needed to have privacy levels on things like photo bucket.

Get together bashes was a different story and we had a blast. We would mix board and real life stories. In short we became real friends and could confide and chide each other, but when the bash was over and we were back to the boards we never involved real life.

Over the years I have learned that there are those that delight in stalking or hounding others. I guess I was pretty innocent in the ways of others because in my family and circle of friends we could talk about anything and it was kept there. We don't deliberately set out to hound or hurt others, regretfully, there are those in the world that do.

Just because there are people with different philosophies doesn't mean that it is okay to screw with their real life but given the lengths that people are going to to harm US Representatives I guess I should not be surprised that plain everyday working people would be targeted as well.

Once I found out that this was happening, I took steps, albeit too late, to change things. Skinner and the admin here helped me out. One day I was Greenbriar and then the next day with no fan fair I became Demtenjeep, but there are mods even here that are not what they seemed and even while I thought my new identity was working, it was not.

At any case, on good advice, my online participation is going to cease. Yes I have shared freely the great things I have in my life and in the last few years the trials I have been handed but again I thought I was among friends and in my circle, that is what friends do. Warts and all. I am not faulting anyone but myself for thinking that everyone has good intentions. Sadly, I have learned that more people are shitty with rotten intentions than there are good.

I am sure this post will be hashed and ridiculed but I really don't care. I just want others to not be hassled and stalked like I have been. My life has been in danger and as a result we are moving our residence. New state which of course I will not mention just to show you how serious it is.

I admit, I was not smart in protecting myself online and yes that is my fault. I just never thought I would need to. Kind and decent civilized people know to not cross the lines. I have never even tried to harm others even when I hate their beliefs.

It is too late for me. However, if I can protect someone else, then I will be happy. Be careful and protect your identity. There are asses in the world who delight in making others hurt. Just because they can.

That's too bad. Probably a self-imposed sabatical from the DUmp and another name-change.

Well, the last time she quit it was because some pricks here (and you know who you are) were picking on her. She wasn't gone long.
 
I wouldn't count her out for a nice stretch run to contend for a second Top DUmmy win.

One of her funniest ploys was changing her username. Her brainless, self-centered, illiterate style stands out, even at the DUmp, like the flashing lights on an EMS truck. Blink, blink, blink, blink.

I wonder if she'll delete all her cookies, like nutcase nadin did. She was gone for nearly 24 business hours.

Pam, you didn't learn your lesson on the Chief's board where you claimed posters there threatened you, your husband and family - even calling your house, and your husband's work, because of your brain cancer scam.  

That was years ago.  You post intimate detailed info (with links) about your life and believe people are stalking you because morbid curiosity prompts us to fact check your constant lies.

If you weren't a teacher I would have little interest in your fiction.  It is you that is the danger to those good, civilized people you take advantage of.  I cringe thinking about those poor students that are subjected to you. You need counseling.  Get some.

Well, Fan Fair used to be a weeklong festival in Nashville where many country artists would perform and sign autographs for their fans at very low prices. It would sell out over 20,000 tickets with near zero publicity in Nashville, because they wanted out-of-town fans who would spend more money on lodging and food. It's not called that anymore, they sell two or three times as many tickets for a humongous concert in the stadium. It's still great for anyone who wants to stand around outdoors in 95 degree heat with 95% humidity all day.

Pam, being her normal semi-illiterate master's degree self, meant fanfare.

If my children attended school in that district, I'd be contacting that school board and principal every day. 

She is not fit to teach impressionable and vulnerable children and teenagers.
