And, of course, so do we.

Where is Hippy Wife?

This is Mrs. Hatrack. Hippy Wife is one of my favorite posters in the Cooking and Baking forum, and I haven't seen any posting from Hippy Wife since early April.

Hippy Wife, are you okay?

Your cooking reports always inspire me!

I hope you have just been so busy cooking scrumptious meals that you haven't had time to post on DU!

3. How odd.

The first response was deleted. And I guess many posts afterward, too.

I miss hippywife's posts also. I am hoping she returns soon. She is very popular around this neck of the woods, eh?

Maybe she is just taking a break and enjoying real life. I am sure it's a busy gardening season.

Yeah.  One wonders what got deleted, but suspects one knows what it is.

8. Hey, folks!

I'm still alive and kickin'! Been really very busy making jewelry, networking with my sellers and buyers. It takes a lot more of my time than I thought it would.

Sadly for Bill, I haven't been doing very much extravagant cooking. Just the basics. He really misses it all, but has been wonderfully supportive. He really is an awesome husband, friend, and design consultant. "How does this one look, honey?" LOL

Sorry if anyone's been worried, and it's very nice to be missed. If I had more to share, I would make time to be here more, but unfortunately nothing worth crowing about coming out of my kitchen.

10. He does sometimes but not usually. He has a really bad back and it's difficult for him to be on his feet for too long. He would like to if he could, tho. Sometimes we cook things together.

Sorry to have worried anyone.

Worried?

franksolich was frantic with fear, wondering what befell his literary muse, Mrs. Alfred Packer.

14. Ha!

I came to cooking and baking just no to look for you too. Know that you got a kick out of MFM in the lounge sometimes and hadn't seen your name in any of the get well or update threads so started getting worried about YOU.

Glad you are OK and great news on the jewelry thang!

15. Hi, Kali!

Good to see you. I am so behind on things. Can you please PM me on what is going on with him? I saw some mentions, but I lost track of the whole thing trying to backtrack to the start of the whole thing.

Right now, franksolich is working on his next literary masterpiece, part of the primitives-stalking-franksolich series, "Mrs. Alfred Packer does the 4th of July."

But the way the series is evolving, Mrs. Alfred Packer will soon be playing only cameo roles, or no roles at all, as other primitives come forward.  I can see a time when "Mrs. Alfred Packer" is simply part of the title of a saga, and not in the saga itself.

I'm trying to work in Wild Bill's bad back somehow.

And there will be a stalking primitive who visits franksolich during the middle of the night, waking him up, but I haven't decided which primitive, and whether a male primitive or a female primitive.

And it being the 4th of July, naturally explosions.

Nope.

The inspiration for that came from a rather rude message from a primitive I got on my clarebootheluce gmail account, asking a, uh, rather personal question.  I answered it, but thought it prying.

I like the way Mrs. Packer (who misspelled her own username when she registered at the DUmp) put in the kind words about Cannibal Bill. That was almost surely an indirect reference to the fear, frequently mentioned here, that she had been reduced to neatly packaged roasts, ribs, and croneburger, stacked on one shelf in the Packer freezer.
