Electric Monk (1000+ posts) Wed Jun-01-11 05:48 PMResponse to Reply #26. I think it had to do with this thread http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph... and comparing Baltimore to North Korea

The intelligence on this board just plummeted considerably. She will definitely be missed.

I don't see how one could tell. she never posted her own thoughts
Could be. Any DUmmie should know that North Korea is more like Detroit than Baltimore.
Imajika (1000+ posts) Wed Jun-01-11 04:11 PMResponse to Original message10. Well, you know there are some die hard marxist types around... ...who simply refuse to believe the communist system they so believe in fails everywhere it has ever been tried.North Korea is perhaps the most glaring example of command and control marxist economic catastrophe, but there are a few lost souls who can't accept it. That there are actually people around (even a couple on DU) who feel the need to defend North Korea and try to suggest it really isn't all that bad is pretty sick. It shows you that fanatics will close their eyes to almost anything in order to avoid having to accept that the things they believe in were just wrong all along. And yes, I know the thread is sarcasm and what it was posted to refute.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

If people disagreed with her, it should have been enough that they had the right to debate her.Tombstoning Hannah was a massive and totally unjustified overreaction to the simple act of posting an unpopular opinion. In the name of decency and at least some degree of free speech, the mods need to rethink this, apologize to Hannah, and let her come back. She did nothing that was unforgiveable. Please K&R if you agree with me on this.(And yes, this thread may get locked, but something had to be said).

YAY! That "person" called me a house-******. Kid you not. Kiss it Hannah. You miserable wretch.
The lifetime achievement award category is getting quite crowded.
Right now she has my vote.I have no idea how I'm going to get the latest from the World Socialist Web Site without Hannah.
I don't know, have you ever watched the TV show "The Wire"? Baltimore is not exactly presented as a bastion of safety.
We have Baltimore to thank for Undergroundpanther, Miss Waverly (patron saint of the dust bunnies), and Stimpy the catbox squatter. DUmmy flyarm slummed there until the Orioles dumped Buck Martinez as a broadcaster. The only reason I can think a normal person would visit Baltimore is if you get a cheaper fare through BWI airport, or if you want to check on a rotund, redheaded DUmp scamster.
