Woman: ‘I shot him as much as I could'

By Rhonda Cook

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The crying woman told a 911 operator she “shot him as much as I could” and moments later police found her would-be attacker dead in the back yard of her Gwinnett County home.

The woman was getting out of the shower when 34-year-old Israel Perez Puentes, armed with a knife, dragged her to the bedroom where he planned to rape her, police said. Her fear was evident in the recording of her call for help – obtained by AM 750 and now 95.5FM News/Talk WSB.

“I was in the shower and the lights cut out in my house,” the sobbing woman said moments after she shot and killed Puentes  on May 11.“This man came at me with a hood on. And he had a knife in his hand.”

He forced her into her bedroom, she later told police, and that is where she retrieved her gun.

“I shot him as much as I could,” said the woman. “I shot him with a .22 but he just kept running.

She needs some shooting practice.

Looks like she did good by me.

Yeah, she did all right.  She can probably afford more bullets.  If not, she can contact me and I'll kick in some toward a box.

No complaints as to what she did or how she did it.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

A .22 ain't exactly a "knock down" weapon...so I'd say she must of hit him with most of her shots are at least finally hit the right spot.....and from the name, I'd say that's one illegal that won't be coming back across the border after he's sent home this time.

And as I've said before, don't stop shooting until they stop moving. This ain't no damn movie.

Good riddance.

I'd like to buy the lady a beer or three.
You done good honey, cuz you know that worthless low life piece of scum had no scrap of kindness in his hole of a black heart for your pleas.

Rot in hell, Puentes or whatever your real name is.  I tend to believe he was an illegal alien as well, but now that he's in Hell he's totally legal and where he belongs. :cheersmate:

Today Earth is a better place without the esteemed Mr. Israel Perez Puentes.

I look forward with great anticipation to the press conference and congratulations from N.O.W. in support of the victim.

This link gives us what we need to know about Puentes' history:

The man, later identified as Cuban national Israel Perez Puentes, died at Gwinnett Medical Center, police said. They said neighbors had spotted Puentes' car in the neighborhood several days before the attack but did not report it. Puentes lived in Alpharetta and was previously arrested on eight felony charges.

Is that code for "illegal immigant" now?

Is that code for "illegal immigant" now?

Where to even begin with the code words for illegal alien lawbreaking criminals?  There's XXXnational, of course, as well as "undocumented worker", "person willing to do the jobs Americans won't do", "immigrant" and so on.  I'm sure fellow Cavers could write a discourse on how the liberal, criminal loving element in America attempts to obscure the basic fact that someone who crosses over a border without proper authorization is an illegal alien.

When fungus grows on my foot, it's unwelcome.  When neighbors pop over for a cup of coffee and stay for three hours, they're unwelcome.  When dandruff settles on your scalp and won't leave short of vigourous scrubbing with tar shampoo, it's safe to call it unwelcome.

So, to me, illegal people crossing our borders, no matter from which cardinal compass point, should be considered the flaky grifters among us.

Never know what the law Will say about this.

I want to be the devils advocate here for the Family of the dead member.

 :evillaugh:

Family   " Our little Billy had a problem, he was born With mental problems and got into trouble all the time.   We in the family were helpless to help him, we hated his acts but loved him anyway. We have been advised by Pastors and mental health experts  to love the person even as we hated his actions.

Billy was not in a right mind when he broke into this woman's house, he carried only a knife and when the woman shot him the first time he tried to run, to escape.    This woman shot him in the back as he tried to run, he was at that time no threat to her, he had dropped the knife and was now running for his life.

As family we have now suffered the loss of a family member and feel he was executed for a simple breaking and entering, we have just the word of the home owner about what they thought his intentions were.  How did the home owner read his mind and decide he was about to rape her.???? "

You can see where I am going here, the home owner over reacted and after the first shot hit him and he tried to get away, the home owner shot him in the back, emptied her gun into a helpless man as he tried to escape.

This is now over kill, he was murdered with fore thought and malice.  The young man was no longer anykind of threat yet the home owner kept shooting him until he was dead.

Her own words she admits to shooting him all she could.

So now a liberal court has to decide if a Civil Court should award them damages and make her pay them for the rest of her life for their being deprived of the company of their family member.

Moral of my story is that only a fool has a 22 for self defence.  Had the first shot killed him, say she had a higher power weapon, up to a 50 odd Buffalo Gun no problem.

Shit like this happens every day somewhere.   People that defend themselves in all situations are penilised for their actions.

Check out your work policy about fights, horrid in most places non union, if a stranger belts you in the chops and you do not react both of you can be fired for fighting.  Some States are insane on laws, we had a case up here when some dude in a bar kept taunting a man for being gay.   The Bully kept it up and when his target ignored him, the Bully began to poke his finger hard into the targets chest and the target smaked the bully in the nose.   Both were arrested for fighting, the court concluded the picked on man should have just walked away and found another bar to drink in. The picked on man had to pay the bullys medical bill for a broken nose.

This is New Hampshire Sparkys neck of the woods.   Bullys win if their target fights back, good way to raise sons, if picked on, Run Away, Run Away.

Say what?

This is reality EC, we see this stuff happen every day-------Some call it miss carrage of Justice, some call it Maleficence in our courts.

I was doing SATIRE of a manage of similar cases where the home owner defending themselves and family's have been in worse trouble for self defence then they would have been had they just submitted to a Monster.

You do realize that some states have laws such as the "castle doctrine".  In Nevada, I can shoot the shit out of anyone who comes into my home, when I pull my gun and tell them to "get the **** out of my house" and they don't go?  Oh yeah, it's on.  And, in Nevada, the person who was shot, or their family, cannot sue me.  I would be protected by Nevada law, as long as I did not shoot them in the back.

There are many homeowners here in Las Vegas who have shot intruders and they are walking free.  Just as they should be.
