A significant portion of DU is about as repugnant as is humanly possible concerning the Strauss-Kahn rape allegations.
It's no surprise Strauss-Kahn became a rapist. With all the mental gymnastics the commies vault through to protect their ideology all they did was groom Strauss-Kahn with a sense they would cover-up his every action regardless of how depraved...and he's right although he screwed-up in a place where his status means little.
The commies are getting increasingly more vile by the minute as the evidence grews worse.
Use this thread to call out their most egregious examples.

Dominique Strauss-Khan: Accuser to Testify

The maid accusing IMF Chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault will testify against him, though her lawyer says she is "scared."
Meanwhile, as he sits under suicide watch at Rikers Island, a Mexican newspaper reports allegations he also assaulted a maid in Mexico.

9. Interesting non scientific online poll. 50% think he was set up by his political enemies.
And 57% in another poll taken in France say it was a setup.

I am not saying that I believe it but it wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened. Yes, the guy has a reputation as a womanizer, but perhaps his political enemies knew this and decided to use it against him.
Some people in this thread seem to have already convicted him. Personally, I am going to take a wait and see attitude.

New thread. Apparently Strauss-Kahn used the same prostitution service as Idiot Spitzer:

Kristin Davis said she provided young women for the IMF chief in 2006, as he ran for the French Socialists' presidential nomination, and that one complained about his "aggressive" behaviour.

NO WAY is this a coincidence.
I think these were both political set-ups, not that the
men weren't guilty of being shit-heels.
Games are being played here, and it's not all
between the sheets.

8. But hiring expensive hookers is what I expected. Not the other.
Men with disposable income buy presents for their dicks. That's straightforward commerce.
The unpaid maid is a whole other story. Not actually related. Almost a refutation. He knew how to get what he wanted. He had the number. He could have called. With everything he had at stake, he didn't.
Sorry, it's still ODD.

10. Are you under the illusion that rape involves critical
thinking skills.

11. Illusion?
I see a man who thinks he has a shot at being president of France. So, yes, I do expect critical thinking to be part of his make up. Suddenly, it's all gone? What was it? A hormone surge?
You seem to take rape for granted. I don't. I believe that if a man is incapable of taking responsibility for his actions, he should not be allowed to vote or own property or go out without a leash.
Is it your opinion that men are incapable of taking responsibility for their actions?
ANOTHER THING: People in power are not usually the ones committing power crimes on women. The perversion in men of power is diaper-wearing, visiting a dominatrix who beats them and tells them how bad they are, cleaning their master's toilet.
So again, in a man of power and position I FIND THIS CRIME ODD. I am not saying I disbelieve it. I'm saying there's more than one way this could have occurred and I would like to understand what did happen.
Do you assume you know what happened?
Apparently you do with your dissertation on how the rich and powerful get their jollies.
I really despise this ****:

13. Agreed, it is very odd
At first I couldn't believe it actually happened as reported because it made no sense.
Why would a man suddenly turn into a violent sexual predator at age 62, and then commit his violence in a location where he was certain to be identified and apprehended?
However, as what seem to be "facts" have emerged, it's become clear that this guy has a long history of sexual abuse, so maybe this latest attack was just an escalation of an existing pattern of behavior.
The oddity now is how he got away with it for so long. I know people keep saying and probably want to believe that rich people can get away with anything, but actually, they can't.
But this guy did. So how'd that happen?
From a public interest standpoint, that seems to me to be the most important question arising from this event.
Of course none of these idiots dare mention a certain someone who almost threw away his presidency to spooge on an intern's $20 blue dress.
Or a senator that left his paramour to drown while his pregnant wife was home.
Or the same senator making "waitress sandwhiches" with another senator in a packed DC restaurant.
Or that senator's brother bring his dalliances to the WH.
Or a candidate banging around with a campaign working and video-taping it.
So obviously the accuser is a paid whore...
...or innocently mistaken for a paid whore:

that it may have been an unfortunate mix-up. Rumor has it that he sometimes engages in role play with prostitutes clad as a chamber maid.
So, perhaps he had wanted to squeeze in a quicky before dinner, the long boring flight to Europe and all those most likely equally boring engagements with heads of state and the like.
The "escort" is late, check-out time is quickly approaching, so he decides to take a shower, but leaves the door open.
When he comes out of the shower he is delighted to see the whore has finally arrived! With no time to waste, he jumps the gal without any preludes, bewildered at first how well she is acting, and when he realizes it's not a game it's too late.
Completely embarassed he may have apologised, offered money, whatever - probably only to make it worse. Some of these muslims from West Africa can be pretty uptight and may be totally unaware of the sexual mores in sin city.
