Time to start boycotting public places that show Fox News

I live in the midst of the liberal enclaves of Los Angeles and despite this, Despite this, more often than not when I walk into a restaurant, if there isn't sports, it's Fox News. It's the same with banks, doctor's offices, lobbies of businesses etc. Let's all start taking action. Politely inform the manager/owner of whoever that you will not patronize an establishment that insists on exposing people to Fox's propaganda and lies.

If this is the norm in liberal Los Angeles, it's probably a lot worse in other parts of the country. Anyone who insists on showing Fox News to the public, who have no choice in what's on TV doesn't deserve my business or the patronage of any sane American.

How petty do you have to be to go around looking for reasons to be offended?
When I'm out in public I don't give a rats ass what is on a tee vee screen.

8. I've been doing that for years. If they won't change the channel, I won't go back - and say so.

17. Excellent.

I've walked out of restaurants that refuse to shut that crap off.

This is how Fox can claim such huge ratings--they gave tvs to a lot of businesses and made deals with others with the command that they keep it on the psycho channel. If they can understand how many people find anti-American propaganda repulsive, they will soon listen or lose business.

Fox news is now anti American propaganda?  :rotf:

20. I request that it be changed

If they won't, I leave.

My dentist has TV for each patient. It was tuned to Fox. He asked if I would like the channel changed. I replied "Yes - I am a Democrat and have a severe allergic reaction to Fox." He laughed and the hygienist gave a little cheer. I had it changed to MSNBC.

Zero bongs.

25. Excellent idea!

And it isn't just because Fox spews out donkey feces all day, I can ignore that. I will object on my own behalf, but the bigger threat is to society at large. Like having a poisonous snake under the couch, I want to keep others from being bitten; especially those who don't have access to the actual news. Sorry, I think I mixed a couple of metaphors.

If anyone is so dimwitted to be brainwashed by a news channel they shouldn't be out in public in the first place.

I have never heard a conservative whine and cry that MSNBC is playing on a tee vee at wally world.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Restaurants are in the business of making money and they know what makes money.  Would you want to eat dinner with "Big Ed" Schultz screaming at you?

The diner near my house is usually broadcasting CNN.  I don't care, because I almost always bring a book to read (much to the chagrin of the spousal unit).

I think tonight, I will ask them to change it to FOX.

The durka durka jihad gas station at the corner likes to watch MSNBC in the evenings.  I roll my eyes if I have to go in there (I usually don't), but it's their business.  They can watch whatever crap they want.

The only thing that irks me as a customer is walking into some chain restaurant that has a million TVs and they're all tuned to sports.  I would even tolerate CNN to get an alternative to professional sports (unless it's NASCAR).

We don't have to put up with your nasal whining or BO , and the business owner doesn't have to pay for the effort of getting your broke welfare ass to pay the bill.

I can't help but wonder why so many places (according to the Dummies) have Fox on their TV's. Is there some incentive, a simple cable package for stores or is it really just the owners putting it on because they can?

I know when I go to the hospital or some place with a TV I'm almost always greeted with The Weather Network, thanks to people would complain about anything else like the CBC or CTV news channels.

Then again according to the Dummies the weather channel is likely biased too. (I'm not saying I'm fond of Fox but...)

Actually, the Weather Channel is more correctly the, "Global Warming Channel."  Owned by NBC, which in turn is owned by GE (CEO Jeffery Imelt), who is basically knob-gobbling Obumbles under the desk.

Never knew that. Thought it might be an independent station, as far as I'm aware what we have "The Weather Network" is however, I may be wrong.

I looked it up and I was in fact wrong...

Almost all of the places I go don't have a TV. The Doctors office has one but it's running a loop pushing a healthy life style and pills.

The last place I was in that had a TV was a HARDEE's in Chester SC....and they had two...one in each corner...one on CNN and the other on FOX.

Everywhere the DUmmies go seems to have TV's. I guess DUmmies are more like children than we thought...they have to be entertained at all times.
