No need to roll up the sleeves

Woohoo! Dig those bare buttocks and boobs. May 14 is, believe it or not, World Naked Gardening Day.

According to the American Association for Nude Recreation, May 14 is the day when we should all get outside and tend our gardens, flower boxes and yards clothed “as nature intended.”

“Nude gardening is comfortable, saves on laundry, and makes for a quick personal clean up — just hose down,” these folks say.

Cute girl, but I agree with the writer...bit early to be outside nekkid, even if you're so inclined.

Are you sure there's an "e" in that word?

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Seriously, 3 weeks ago I planted some beans and peas in an area that is prone to be wet in rainy weather. Can't plant early but usually well underway by mid May....I planted and it poured down rain and then turned cold. I got maybe half a stand.

I was going to plow that up today and replant. Long range forecast is for rain and cooler than normal temps 72/48, 74/51, etc for a few days...where's that damn global warming I need.

...and as to me gardening in the nude. That should be enough to kill what bad weather doesn't.

This did not happen here...it was 55 degrees yesterday.   :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:  (Thank God, since I don't have any young and beautiful neighbors except my daughter, and I'd have kicked her hind end even if she is and adult...)   :lmao:

Best. Chappelle's. Skit. EVAR!  Or at the very least right up there with the blind black guy who was a Klansman, or Rick James...

And while Scoobs has been going nuts gardening and landscaping (and will not do any today under pain of...more pain) I don't think she'll be jumping in on the nekkid bit.

Uh yeah, negatory on the nekkidness. I kinda like the neighbors.  :lmao:

I'll thank the stars, cold weather, and common sense that the fad doesn't catch on here.  Can't picture any of my neighbors that would make a good image flopping around in the wind and dirt.  My self included.

It was bad enough when I used to have to drive by a ranchette who's owner worked on his driveway in Speedos while driving a small front end loader.  Blech.  Freud would have had fun with that one.

Our house has a big front yard and smaller back yard. Either way, the neighbors watch everything. I'd spare them the sight and the gossip.

Florida is incredible in that I didn't bring in the outdoor potted plants all winter. Everything made it, just had the smaller ones in the inner L of the patio/pool cage/lanai, whatever you want to call it. I had them on a shelf or passthrough from the kitchen to the patio. Even the herbs made it through the winter, so now I don't have to go out and buy everything again like I had to do in St Louis.

We cut down 3 "cardboard" plants that had winter browning ---all the way to the ground. I thought they were goners, but they've already popped up a couple of feet.

:rotf:

Was this event catered to hippies?  Not at all interested, even if we had no neighbors for miles and miles.
