Lesbian spelling bee turmoil
« on: May 11, 2011, 02:38:19 PM »
Quote
Justice Bruno Cavion was practically pleading with Linda Pitney and Rafat Parsaei to accept the Crown’s offer and avoid a criminal trial.

“I don’t usually do this,” the veteran judge told the two women accused of sending death threats to a Toronto elementary school. “We’re not talking about admitting anything,” he said, reassuringly. “Just sign a piece of paper promising to keep the peace, and that’s it; it’s finished.”  ... Pitney, 64, Parsaei, 47, and Carole Tovell, 69, are accused of writing several letters in 2008 and 2009 threatening to bomb and shoot staff at Perth Avenue Junior Public School. All three women face charges of intimidation and threatening death, while Pitney faces an additional criminal harassment charge.

Tovell, Pitney’s longtime companion, was severed from the case Tuesday morning due to the fact she was laid up in hospital with a broken leg.

Police allege the women’s motive for threatening the school and its staff stems from Parsaei’s belief that they had discriminated against her son — a Grade 2 student at the time — and rigged a spelling bee he had lost. Pitney, who lives in Shelburne, Ont., met Parsaei in 2006 and they became close friends. She often acted as a “family advocate” in meetings with school officials, repeatedly calling the school and school board about the spelling bee. ...

There was an implied spork in the story.  :-)

Wolves would probably be an improvement.  At least in a wolfpack he'd see some relatively normal sex role modeling, and less criminal behavior.  Better-looking bitches, too.
