I received a certificate of Appreciation from a former student who is graduating from college
totally out of the blue. It is framed and has the official college seal. Was a really nice surprise and totally unexpected. I haven't had this student for 5 years. She is a really beautiful young lady and is graduating with honors. I am so very proud.

Note that Pam teaches 7th grade social studies.
That means this kid got a college degree, with honors, at the same time she graduated from high school.
She really did graduate from college "totally out of the blue".

it was so awesome and a really nice gesture. It makes what we do worthwhile.

My teaching philosophy is that I make a difference in even one child I have succeeded.

6. My brother was one of those "one in a million" teachers
that changed the lives of many of his students.
Many former students can to speak graciously of him when he unexpectedly pasted away.
Consider yourself among a select few of the very best mentors of our future citizens.

 the next year....I would have loved to let her know of my college years...because of her and her alone, cause I was a loaner and she seemed to 'get me'

I think DUmmy angstlessk was one of those students they send to class temporarily while the regular student is being repaired.

Oh, but Pam, you HAVE made a difference, in not just one child, but in every child who experiences you.

Unfortunately, that difference is not a POSITIVE one.

And finally, Ms. Master's Degree, it's, "IF I have made a difference."  As previously mentioned, we know your difference is not positive, so at least you've been honest in that regard, even if unintentionally so.

How did she manage that one? Graduating from college=4 years and 5 years ago would make her a senior. Pam teaches 6th or 7th grade doesn't she?

Ok, maybe it's a 2 year college. So, 2 years + senior, junior, sophomore in high school...maybe a freshman since Pam stretches time frames....doesn't add up. I think she's full of shit since that individual would be at least 2 years off in the best case scenario from ever having had her. I guess another scenario is she is just that dumb(proven many times) to not think about what she's writing before she does. If she had this person, she would have thought to herself...wow, how long ago did I have this child in my class and probably wrote something different, but that takes introspection. Something a lot of people lack, not just DUmmies.

It's May. Getting near to the middle of the year. I think Pammie is starting to make her move to try and regain her DOTY title. With Pammie starting her surge if nadin can keep pace it will be an interesting contest this year.

If you're reading this Pam, don't let these other Cavers get you down. You just keep fabricating these stories. You keep fighting to regain your title. Show them and the world that you're not just any run of the mill DUmbass. Show them that you're a DUmmie of the Year.

Isn't that a perfect example of the difference in the public and private sectors? Make a difference for only one client in a government endeavor and you're a "success." Make a difference for only one client in a private business and you're canned for incompetence.

That's such a high bar Pam has set for herself.

Maybe I can use that on my next self-evaluation at work. "Hey, at least one of my patients went home without a hospital-acquired infection. Mark me as 'Fully Successful!'"

There are some bad public schools in Tennessee, but we can't attribute that to Pam. She afflicts the kids at a middle school in Wichita, Kansas. (Incidentally, she's moved up to 8th grade social studies, but a college degree five years later is still a tall order. Pam lies, all the time she lies.)

Actually, I find Pam's story quite easy to believe.  After all, Wichita schools could quite well have turned out a few students that managed to graduate from a 1-year program...CNA or Med Assistant maybe.  Of course, real teachers get far more excited by the students that get Bachelor's or Master's degrees...but none of those kids would credit Pam for any of it.  :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

7 years ago. I have had brief contact with her here and there throughout the rest of her High School career, but this really touched my heart because it is not like I had her in recent years.

I can't wait to see her get her 4 year college diploma Saturday!

Hi Pam!!!!!!!!!  Please post more.  With what Obama and the democrats have done to our economy and country, we need the laughs. 

It's so obvious Pam reads here because she says she can't wait to see her get her "4-year college degree."  Reasonably intelligent people would just say "college degree."  Not our Pam - she has to clarify and make herself sound even more stupid (if that's possible).   

Give it up, Pam.  We are on to you and have been on to you for so long.  I really would like to know how you made it through college.  If my children had ever had a teacher who used such poor grammar, poor paragraph formation, and poor spelling, I would have demanded to have my child removed from your class.   And, if I found out you were posting on a public forum any details about your students, I'd work to have you fired.
