On this issue, because we'd lose, and play straight into the hand our enemies are trying to deal us to make sure we keep losing and Obama gets a second shot at hosing up the country even worse than he has already.

In a democracy, even if something is economicially stupid but only 1% of the population thinks so and 85% of them think it's a keen idea, you can either stand aside, or stand in the way and get crushed.
How do you know we would lose. That is your opinion. Surely not mine and anyone that is familiar with the oil industry. Just because Obama and the Democrats think the oil industry is evil, that does not make it so. Plus, if you think Obama is not going to do every dirty trick in the book to the Repubs in the next election, you are sadly mistaken.

In a democracy, if you do not stand up for what is right and keep caving into the Democrats you will get crushed. Obama's socialistic agenda will not stop at removing tax breaks on the oil companies. It is time to fight to stop this freight train. Being a weakling like Boehner will get your ass kicked. Obama has a great record with taking over the health industry, taken over 2 car companies, AIG, and has his sights on nationalizing the oil industry. 6 and 7 dollar gas prices will be good for us cause Obama wants us to be just like the EU. So, let's not fight it. Give me a ****ing break.

Thanks god we are not a democracy. I understand that is what govt schools teach now, and the leftist media want us to believe so what can you say? This is part of the dem/ liberal strategy. And unfortunately they do seem to control the language and the information (complete with their own 'facts') But we are getting dangerously close. We are almost at that 'tipping point'.

Kiss it all good bye when it does become "mob rule" (democracy). Lacarnut's point would be wise to implement ... because kicking the can down the road ... well.. that drivel fed to republicans by the left will be the end of this old grand experiment called 'America'.

It does appear to be unavoidable with this 'limp dick GOP' to coin TVDOC's phrase. Never seen such a group of gutless pieces of shit when the country needs some brass ones to take it back. There just isnt time for this folly. Thank god the founding fathers were nothing like this gutless crowd. Apparently King Stinky and his gang got all the brass while the GOP got the sun tan parlors. (Gotta luv Boehners tan dontcha?)

Its really sad to see so many conservatives side with the liberal (er, 'conservative') punditry, agenda driven polls and the inside the beltway crowd. It really is. As if theyd ever give us advise out of concern that we might lose. I think America is ready and anxious to see somebody step up and knock these Marxists scumbags on their asses. Even if its only symbolic. The way it is, theres nothing to root for. Except that maybe the castrations will end soon.

Thanks god we are not a democracy.

In a purely legalistic, technical sense, no, we're not.  It's a meaningless distinction in this context though.  The House can get swept in or out every two years, and was designed to be a reflection of populist ideas, i.e. embodying all the weaknesses of a true democracy, with the steadiness of the Senate to counterbalance it and prevent the populism from breaking anything important.

Golf summit for Barack Obama and John Boehner

President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will finally hit the links for a round of golf – and al fresco negotiation – on June 18 >>>

Obama’s offer — and Boehner’s acceptance — comes six months after White House press secretary Robert Gibbs suggested the bipartisan pair could work out their differences on the course. Both men are passionate golfers >>>

What a ***** and an idiot. Obama would not give ANY Repub. the time of day his first 2 years cause they had the votes in the House & Senate. Now, Obama and Pisslosi want to play nice. Let's try to get along and compromise and this fool Boehner starts bawling when Obama asks him to play a round of golf with him. What a sissified dunce. The worst part of it is that Boeher thinks Obama is doing it out of friendship. Unbelievable.

Boehner has been Obama's most prominent political opponent of his presidency, from the early battles over Obama's stimulus plan and health care overhaul to the ongoing debates over the federal debt and budget fixes. And just Friday, Boehner won House approval for his measure taking Obama to task for failing to seek congressional approval for the military mission in Libya.

But the two Democratic and Republican leaders certainly haven't kept their distance either, facing off in numerous closed-door meetings, most recently on Wednesday, when the Republican caucus met with Obama at the White House regarding negotiations to raise the debt ceiling.

Read the comments. They are not buying the crap either one of these two birds are selling. The proof will be in the details. Boehner will cave on the debt limit and the taxpayers will get a shitty deal on the spending side also. Raising taxes on the oil companies to give to the greenies is a boner.

Link....it is called opinions of others. Just like yours.

Boehner last budget deal was woefully weak cutting 37 billion out of the 100 billion proposed. Plus, 20 billion of those cuts are smoke and mirrors. Fact.

Most conservatives think Boehner is a weakling when he goes on one of his crying jags. No fabricated outrage there.Your boy is going to turn out to be a chicken hawk. :hammer:

Another fact. Obama would not give Boehner or any Repub the time of day his first two years in office. Now that he needs them to pass any type of legislation, he is going to be buddy buddy with them. Republicans are stupid to fall for this open arms stab you in the back that the Democrats and Obama will dish out. However, go live in your fantasy world.

You make the hysterical statement that the worst part (the worst, my gosh) is that Boehner believes the invite is extended out of friendship, and base that on "opinion" you formulated by reading the comment sections of articles.

I see.

Independent thought.  I would say you may want to try it sometime but we both know you are completely incapable of it.   You can spare me further commentary you were spoon fed from others.  Yawn.

So if I understand this correctly, if you have links .. then its your own opinion.

If you dont have links, its the opinion of others.

Interesting.

Not exactly, but nice try.

Looking for the supporting facts to which the claim Boehner believes the invite is done in friendship, which of course there is none yet warrants the designation of "the worst part" by our resident hysterical Nancy.

The hysterics over every.little.thing is so played they have become embarrassing to witness.

When you look at his plus (+) and minus (-) scorecard, he has far more minus than positivies. That could indicate that he is either lacking in comprehension or he is a liberal. I left off the obvious one.
