All I need to know I learned from the Easter Bunny
« on: April 23, 2011, 08:13:22 PM »

All I need to know I learned from the Easter Bunny!

Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.

There's no such thing as too much candy.

All work and no play can make you a basket case.

A cute tail attracts a lot of attention.

Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day.

Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.

Some body parts should be floppy.

Keep your paws off of other people's jelly beans.

Good things come in small, sugar coated packages.

The grass is always greener in someone else's basket.

To show your true colors, you have to come out of the shell.

The best things in life are still sweet and gooey.

May the joy of the season fill your heart.

AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU!

Happy Easter!

I had a small solo on Palm Sunday--vocal.  Nailed it.

Our Holy Week went pretty well.  The highlights, as I can remember them, were the a capella piece we had for the Veneration of the Cross on Good Friday, titled "And God Shall Wipe Away All Tears," and the introit to today's Easter Sunday Mass, titled "Sing To God A Joyful Song."  Today's was a full-throat piece.  It felt joyful.  I think that the congregation was thinking, "It'll be 'Because He Lives' again."  When the organ started, you could almost tell the surprise in the faces of some of the congregation.  We had close to 1,500 in the main church, and another 250-300 in a seperate Mass in the Social Hall.  At the end of Mass, the choir director came around and said, "No practice Wednesday--you earned the week off."  We who are also cantors had been told the same thing yesterday in an email, so I have nothing at church this week--musically, that is.  I've got to go over there and do some work for the Parish Community Garden that we're starting, but that's another thread.

Oh--Happy Easter to all!  He is Risen!  Alleluia!

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.
