Seattle bank branch hit by 'anarchist' style vandals

SEATTLE - Vandalism at a Capitol Hill neighborhood bank on Thursday night is the work of an anarchist group, police say.

Witnesses called police at about 8:40 p.m. to report as many as six people were using hammers to smash the windows of the Chase Bank branch at Broadway and Thomas. The witnesses described the vandals as being dressed in black clothing with hoods and masks.

When police arrived at the scene, they saw eight exterior windows had been smashed. The vandals also left paper fliers at the scene before fleeing.

It appears that nothing inside the bank was taken or damaged.

A posting on pugetsoundanarchists.org said "Fliers were thrown in front of the bank stating solidarity with the Chilean anarchists on their 60th day of hunger strike* as well as the non-cooperating Green Scare defendants serving time in prisons across the US. A short analysis of why one might attack a bank was inclued as well."

2. this is great

i ****ing hate banks, my friend bill is in federal prison because he knocked off a dozen of them, just walked in with a gun, asked for money and then left on his mountain bike. his "work name" was the beach bum bandit, he got popped by putting his bike into his truck and stopping for gas on the way home and leaving the thousands of dollars in plain view on the truck seat, otherwise he would have never been caught. he could have blasted the cop too but didnt even try as he is not violent

So you friend was probably featured on Dumb crook news.

8. i didnt steal anything, he did

and i consider bank robbers to be folk heros, like bonnie and clyde were.

so long as they kill no one i really do like the idea of people knocking off banks, it is a sort of petty vengence for what wall st has done to us, i know.

He has a pot leaf as his avatar.

10. You like the ideas of weapons being stuck in people's faces?

My cousin was kidnapped by a bank robber--she was kept for two days and thankfully released unharmed. She spent two days in mortal fear for her life--absolutely terrified. She had 3 terrified children who couldn't understand where their mom was.

Bonnie and Clyde killed people, but they are still "folk heroes"? Unlike the likes of John Brown and Harriet Tubman, all they wanted was money. That makes them murderers in my eyes.

9. he is looking at 20 years in jail for what?

stealing a total of 150 000 dollars in the 9 robberies he admitted to the cops? big deal, he should get a multi million dollar bonus. how much did they steal from us when they were "too big to fail" billions??? trillions???? and they get big bonuses but my old buddy goes to jail because he didnt wear a suit and rob on paper, he wore jeans and robbed with a gun.

Another DUmmie hallmark: Advocating Armed bank robbers as "Folk heroes" just looking to get back at evil banks.

What this DUmmie did do was announce he knew full well about the robberies while they were being committed.
Not telling the cops is aiding and abetting, right? This fool could spend time in prison as well...
