Yeah, I thought that was a little extreme.  Kirk could be a jerk sometimes.  Especially Alternate Universe Kirk.  And Evil Twin Kirk.

You know, this thread reminds me: There used to be a religious show on Sundays called Insight which was an anthology series that did little stories that had some religious message.  It was produced by the Paulists who are an evangelical brotherhood within the Catholic church.  It used to come on very early Sunday mornings where I lived.

One episode I remember, but I cannot confirm it from IMDB so maybe it is another show entirely, but it starred Jack Palance as T. Lord who gives Harry Anderson a robot girlfriend because Harry is fed up with real women.  T. Lord claims to be God and the "T" stands for "The" but Harry doesn't believe him but accepts the robot woman anyway who's name begain with a G (something close to Galifrey, I remember thinking it sounded a lot like the Time Lord homeworld) and T. Lord said her name meant "a hodge podge or parts" or something like that. So things go along fine at first but Harry falls in love with the robot girl but she is a robot and cannot love him back.  She does paintings but none are original, I think she just copies the masters.  Harry gets frustrated and yells at her and tells her to paint something original but that doesn't seem logical to her 'cause why paint something original when everyone loves the masters?

So, in Twilight Zone-like desperation, Harry goes out seeking T. Lord and begs him to change the girl into a real women.  And so T. Lord does this and Harry goes home and Galifrey is, indeed, a real woman working on a real painting and she's kind of moody because she can't get it right but Harry doesn't care 'cause she's real and not a robot anymore.

Does anyone else remember this?  Probably late 1970's early 1980's.  I went to the Paulist website but they don't list actors in the shows they have available on VHS.
