Why didn't the democrats react to the polls in 2010?
« on: April 23, 2011, 12:20:14 PM »
The writing was on the wall in spring and summer...all the polls said the rats would lose big.
and lo, the rats lost big.

So why didn't the career politicians do what they always do, roll to the center, talk like a conservative and outright LIE to get elected. Rats have always done this before.

But they just stood like a deer in the headlights watching disaster approach.

They stayed socialist to the very end...I can't figure out why, unless this foolishness if divine providence/a blessing from God.

The end result is the GOP house has halted all but executive orders, and agency proclamations. The rats all saw this coming, why on earth did they just stand there?

They believe they have achieved the end-game they've strived for since the McCarthy era...a citizenry chained into perpetual servitude to the state.

They were basking in the sun on the sundeck of the good ship The USS Socialism and Nancy had them convinced they could cruise forever in the first class accommodations.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Partly because of the stealth funding of ObamaCare and partly because Obama just hires socialists as Tsars and forces the commie agenda through.

I believe they felt like they were invincible and could not be beaten.

That's what I think too, and especially with some of their leaders such as Bela Pelosi and Scary Harry; I think they thought they were unbeatable.

And it appears most professional Democrats still think this way, despite 2010, regarding that mid-term election as some sort of temporary aberration.

It's up to us, of course, to show it's for real, and it's more than just temporary.

Because the Democrats created the system that Beck, et al, have accused them of abusing.

I think they wanted republicans to win so they could have someone "evil" to run against in 2012. They have to demonize someone and if they continued to run congress, the senate and the white house they couldn't have the rethuglicans to blame for the sorry state the country is in.

Yes, but they tried that in 2009-10 by attempting to place the "obstructionist" label on the GOP, aka, "The party of NO."

Didn't work then, won't work now.

They couldn't run away from or bash Obama because they'd be called racist so they had to stick by him and his policies.
