Question, if the jails are this harsh, why would anyone in their right mind do anything that could cause them to end up in one.??
The problem is, in countries where the ROP is the predominant religious and cultural norm, any number of innocent everyday activities can land you in jail, get you beaten to death, or cause you to part company with your head.
Just recently, a man who was cleared of blasphemy charges in a trial in Indonesia was still killed by militant Islamists who could not accept the verdict. Funny thing is, when asked what blasphemy the man had committed to justify his killing, the killers could not or would not say. They claimed that to do so would itself be blasphemy.
Just remember, though, all cultures are equal.
