DUmbasses are so funny when they try and be philosophical.

A few facts for the tea-bag people to think about.
Any tea-bag person (to be called tbp from here on) who has any elderly family members, poor family members, handicapped family members better have some money saved up, or a very twisted sense of family.
Right off the bat, you can tell this is going to be good.
.............right now, those family members of yours are being greatly assisted by "the commons". Some of "MY" tax money is being spent in ways that directly help them. Do I mind? not really, because what helps one, helps all in the larger sense.
I thought working was a prereq to paying taxes. Unless you count sales tax and things like that.
.............if the tbp legislators you all love so much, get their way, watch for these family members to start coming to YOU for assistance...directly from "your" money.
No big deal. Already been doing this with my mom for years. If she needs to borrow money and I have it, I lend it to her. And vice versa.
............watch your taxes/fees/surcharges in your communities/states go UP UP UP , as resources once available to them wither away and disappear. Most communities feel a responsibility to the citizens, and when they have no federal or little federal aid, they will come a'knockin' at the doors of the people who live there.. they will be taking locally what they used to get federally.
That's fine. If I'm not paying a big chunk of whatever paycheck I'm getting to the feebs who don't know shit about the local conditions, I can give it to the city/county/state, who at least has some kind of idea on what we need in this town.
............you better start saving some money now for that concierge doctor you might be wanting, since those emergency rooms will really be filling up once desperate people have no other option.
Or you can go to the emergency room and pay out of pocket like I'm doing. Yeah, it sucks, but that's what responsible people do. They really will work with you. I'm paying off my bill at $50 a month. Know what? All I had to do was ask and they were more than happy to put me on a payment plan. Probably because of all the DUmbasses who skip on their bills.
............states & communities will always feel the pressure and need to feed children, educate children & generally care for them , even if the pressure to do so does not always achieve the goal , so when birth control & family planning places get de-funded/closed up, there will be extra mouths to feed, even if you don't want to.
Or they could just start charging for their services.
............the money that tbps love to funnel to the rich at the top (just in case someday they get rich too) will not create jobs, so those unemployed kids of yours will be needing a place to stay for a very long time, and many will stay/return with spouses & kids of their own. ..they probably will not pay you rent, so you better be saving up to pay those extra bills
A poor man never game me a job. And I'd have no problem living at home again if I had absolutely no other option. You say this like family is a bad thing. Why is that SoCalDUmbass?
.............tax cuts don't really help much if you don't owe much to start with or you are unemployed. the money you miss out on by not having a decent wage, cannot be overcome by a few extra bucks at tax time.
Uh what? I'm sure my "Under $100,000 a year" parents would love a tax break. Especially since the owe the IRS another $5000 on top of what they already paid. So much for no new taxes.
..............you could ignore the pleas of your family members, you could turn away those grown kids, but if the safety net is gone for them, it;s also gone for you, and it may not be a good idea to piss off someone who may be called upon to take care of you someday...
If this is how you view family, I'd hate to be you SoCalDUmbass. My family has been helping each other for as long as I can remember and nothing is going to change that.
