You know how the DUMbasses are always howling about "Big Pharma"?

The meme goes something like this: people need medications. Pharmaceutical companies want money for their products. The demand for money means some people don't get the medicine they need. That is unfair. We can't address the unfairness because pharmaceutical companies have so much money from those who are paying they can out-advertise their detractors. Ergo Big Pharma rules us like lords over their serfs.

There are numerous holes in this meme but that's not what I want to address here.

This complaint is odd considering the fact that everytime one of the ass-stains mentions the fact they are on some sort of mood-enhancing, psychtropic drug the thread quickly degenerates into oneupmanship for mental disorders regardless of the orginating topic. We've seen it here a hundred times and we will see it again shortly because they're due for another pity-party any miute now.

But I must wonder, and I'm talking to you lurkers, why do liberals seem to take such preverse glee in surrendering what little thay have left of their minds.

Supposedly these are drugs they need to get-by in life. We've all seen the tales of heart-rending woe about how life is barely bearable even with their cockamamie cocktails. They don't want these drugs that reach into the deepest recesses of the human mind; by their own accounts they NEED these drugs just to manage life's most basic details. Though the molecules and receptors within the human mind that are seemingly out-of-balance exist only in the tracest amounts, great calamity will befall any liberal left to manage life without the soothings of Big Pharma's latest nepenthe.

My first question is why anyone of such diminished mental faculties is offering advice on any subject let alone vote in matters of legal importance but that's another thread.

Why would Big Pharma spend so much as a dime on advertising to drown its detractors? Not only are their biggest detractors their most faithful--and needy--customers those customers throw wide the gates to their minds and invite Big Pharma in to share lemonade and cookies with their every chimera. One would think the tin-foil hat crowd would guard their mental security a bit more jealously so that they might complete their investgations into how Bush steal every US election dating back to 1492 and then lied us into the French and Indian wars so as to funnel war-profits into Halliburton to instigate the Great Depression of 1929.

Only Bush's ex post facto impeachment will truly restore their sanity so why do they surrender their minds to Big Pharma* an institution that profits the very order they seek to overthrow?

One thing I've found very peculiar is how the primitives are always willing to "boycott" products, even if beneficial, produced by certain "evil" corporations.

But after more than ten years, I've yet to see a primitive suggesting they boycott drugs.

Some years ago, someone had a list of primitives, along with the names of the drugs each primitive alleged himself to be on--Doug's stupid ex-wife, for example, was a walking pharmacy.  It was a very long list.  I think it was titled "DU: the Reality-Based Community." 

Unfortunately, it got lost when our old home crashed.

I've oftentimes thought about recompiling that list, collecting such information from the mouths of the primitives themselves, but it would be such a daunting enterprise, I figured no, too much time.

I just went to google and told it to look for "xanax" at DU. It came up with 44,200 hits. I told it to look for "meds" and it said "dude give me a break".
