The Rovian strategy for the Kloppenburg/Prosser race in Wisconsin

1. Take one previously discredited, highly suspicious Republican operative
2. Arrange for her to make a "harmless," temporary, but shocking mistake
3. Listen to the Dems scream about voter fraud
4. Have Prosser graciously suggest that the county's votes be recounted by hand
5. Watch them recount Waukesha County votes and find them perfectly in order
6. Completely discredit the Dems who are concerned about election fraud
7. Destroy all the ballots in other counties before anyone asks to look at them.

3. That occured to me too, but they should have kept John Fund

from screaming about "voter fraud" when it looked like Prosser would lose. Now the Dems can use his argument (too many votes just for the Supreme Court) to argue for counting ballots in other areas (seems to have been true across the state).

OK, it's election night & you can see the vote coming in unGodly close. You execute the Chaos plan: You scuttle the 14,000 votes from the city of Brookfield. Then 2 days later you "rediscover" those votes. Bedlam ensues, just as you counted on happening. Investigatins follow, all centering on what happened in Brookfield.

Ah, but Brookfield is a diversion. Examination of the situation will not change the vote. But you have all the attention in the state focused on one spot.

Meanwhile, whatever electoral chicanery took place, happened far from Brookfield and nobody is going to look there once they have satisfied themselves that the Brookfield count was more or less accurate.

WHAT other electoral chicanery? Beats the hell out of me, but when I see the magician waving a scarf in the air with one hand, I immediately want to know what he's doing with the other hand.

You know...

...if these are the sort of machinations the DUmbasses are capable of is there any reason we need to consider these people a threat or are they just a nuisance en masse?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

The primitives seem to know an awful lot about how election fraud is done; in fact, they're damned near experts on it.  They have insight and ideas that would never occur to Republicans.

One wonders why this is.

Knowledge gained from long practice and experience, perhaps?

Why is it then DUmbass that everything we want...valid photo ID etc,to make sure elections are orderly you scream about and instead you want people to be able to walk into a polling place, vote and then try to determine later if you are eligible to vote there.

It's  interesting that both Ohio and Illinois have gigantic blue cesspools on their upper edge, and that those blue cesspools, where politics is an artform, are nevertheless much less effficient than the rest of the state in counting votes. In both cases, the entire state will be reported, and the Republican plurality known in detail, before the avalanche of democrat votes begins to show up.

You would think that those urban hellholes, with their well-oiled democrat machines, and their matchless union-organized election boards, would be the quickest to complete their work on election day, but the opposite is invariably the case. I wonder why that is.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

We're only ten dollars away from learning the truth in twenty-four business hours. :whatever:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Maybe states should have laws requiring all precincts report final totals before any tallies are announced? After the announcement, recounts only if margin of difference is .5% or less.
