Japan nuke crisis on par with Chernobyl
« on: April 12, 2011, 09:08:33 AM »

Quote
Japan raised the crisis level at its crippled nuclear plant Tuesday to a severity on par with the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, citing high overall radiation leaks that have contaminated the air, tap water, vegetables and seawater.

Japanese nuclear regulators said they raised the rating from 5 to 7 -- the highest level on an international scale of nuclear accidents overseen by the International Atomic Energy Agency -- after new assessments of radiation leaks from the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant since it was disabled by the March 11 tsunami.

from bad to worse. I heard almost all sea food restaurants nationwide have been testing for contamination for some time now.

And the strange thing is, contamination doesn't spread at nearly the rate to justify testing seafood outside the immediate area.

More paranoia ala nadin.

So awful if true. I do not believe anything our media says anymore. On Chernobyl I watched a show on it, they were interviewing the ones who where on scene just after that. Of course they died real soon.. Not pretty.

Oh for the record I am for Nuclear Power.

Jeez...it's, "Nuke 'em till they glow, then shoot 'em in the dark."  That and, "24 empty missile tubes, a mushroom cloud, and it's MILLER TIME!!!"

I had the latter on a t-shirt once.  Damn I wish I could find that again.
