"What's wrong with this country" Part 1,697

Jim "I profited hugely from stock manipulation and didn't even get a slap on the wrist" Cramer, in a convoluted defense of Wall Street this morning, pointed out that he paid his secretary -- his secretary -- $400,000 a year when he worked as a hedge fund manager. He admitted this in some sort of odd rebuttal to Warren Buffett's acknowledgement that his sec'y paid a higher tax rate than he did.

These people simply live on another planet. They don't have a clue what goes on with normal American earthlings, yet they are the ones making the rules.

So do we.
You're free to leave.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

DUmmie said, "I regret ever bringing a child into this shit hole we call America."....DUmmie, you don't regret it half as much as we do...because we're probably feeding, housing and taking care of both of you.

Funny how these DUmmies are always complaining what a "shithole" America is, but never seem to move to someplace better, like Cuba, Venezuela, or even Mexico.

I wonder why that is???    :???:   ::)   :loser:

It cracks me up, they want to raise capital gains tax but they don't think past their "tax the rich" motto. Leave out what raising the tax rate would do to business, the elderly gets a lot of their income from capital gains. They never think past their "feel good thought".

Yeah, but the worst part is that some of them have gotten into positions of power and are trying to run(ruin) the country.

Oh now, Pedro Picasso is just being stupid, and he knows it.

When it comes to taxes on the wealthy, some time back in 2005, 2006, Pedro Picasso was whining about the "low threshhold" for the AMT, the alternative minimum tax, and in doing so, unwittingly revealed his own personal financial status.

One of the things that's wrong with this country is that we've got too many rich liberals not paying their fair share of taxes.

I'll go with uneducated socialists for $2000 Alex.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Walter Williams today:

Tax The Rich? Good Luck With That
By WALTER WILLIAMS

I've often said that I wish there were some humane way to get rid of the rich. If you asked why, I'd answer that getting rid of the rich would save us from distraction by leftist hustlers promoting the politics of envy.

Not having the rich to fret over might enable us to better focus our energies on what's in the best interest of the 99.99% of the rest of us. Let's look at some facts about the rich laid out by Bill Whittle citing statistics on his RealClearPolitics video "Eat the Rich."

This year, Congress will spend $3.7 trillion dollars. That turns out to be about $10 billion per day. Can we prey upon the rich to cough up the money?

According to IRS statistics, roughly 2% of U.S. households have an income of $250,000 and above. By the way, $250,000 per year hardly qualifies one as being rich. It's not even yacht and Learjet money.

All told, households earning $250,000 and above account for 25%, or $1.97 trillion, of the nearly $8 trillion of total household income. If Congress imposed a 100% tax, taking all earnings above $250,000 per year, it would yield the princely sum of $1.4 trillion. That would keep the government running for 141 days, but there's a problem because there are 224 more days left in the year.

I wonder how much of the DUmp would be left if you deleted every thread inspired by DUmp envy of successful people. It's more than a few leftist hustlers. It seems to me the DUmpmonkeys are nearly all consumed by it.

Cramer was a big Obama backer, shouldn't Atman be banned for attacking a fellow Democrat?
