The President Is Missing
By PAUL KRUGMAN

What have they done with President Obama? What happened to the inspirational figure his supporters thought they elected? Who is this bland, timid guy who doesn’t seem to stand for anything in particular?

I realize that with hostile Republicans controlling the House, there’s not much Mr. Obama can get done in the way of concrete policy. Arguably, all he has left is the bully pulpit. But he isn’t even using that — or, rather, he’s using it to reinforce his enemies’ narrative.

I am confused.  I thought it was Boehner who was weak?

When I look to the media and political groups to tell me what to think this always happens........   darn my public school education!

 :whatever:

Second round coming up Mr. Krugman.    Pay attention now, cause the sting from the biotch slap of reality is going to linger.

You're just NOW figuring that out, Paul?  You're not nearly as smart as you think you are then, m'boy.

We've had a president?....all I ever saw was an empty suit.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Oh the irony!!!  :lmao:

Anyone remember those Bush era bumper stickers "Eight Years Without A President Is Long Enough" ?

Now you're a racist bigot if you have an anti Soetoro bumper sticker.

When I was a kid I thought Carter was a sorry excuse for a leader, how could it get worse than that?

Never drank Buckhorn in college then, didja?

And no, Carter is still the worst president ever.  Panama Canal, Afghanistan, "malaise", Iran, 1979 oil crisis, "windfall profits tax", just to name a few.

Although Obama has almost two years to catch up and wrest the title away.  However, I don't think Obama will ever get attacked by a killer rabbit, so he's safe on that score.

That's EXACTLY what I've been thinking.
EMPTY SUIT.
