I thought this story might brighten YOUR day too!!!
I had to play for a memorial service (my 3rd in 10 days) in San Marcos, Texas, yesterday and my husband drove me but did not go into the church for the services because neither of us knew the deceased or the family. So, he brought something to read and parked the car on a side street next to the church while I played for the services. He said he was SURE he was legally parked but about 30 minutes after he got there a San Marcos police car pulled in behind him and the officer got out of his car and walked to his window. He thought, "Uh oh......what have I done?".
The officer said, "Sir, I just wanted to tell you how much I like your bumper stickers"!" One of them says: "Obama is NOT MY President" and the other one says, "Obama - Worst President Ever". Made our day! Of course, those same bumper stickers HAVE on occasion resulted in a different reaction from some drivers.....it's amazing how well they manage to drive using only one hand while the other one is stuck out the window at us!
