In your personal, informed opinion...

Do you think President Obama is losing his base? Or already has lost his base? Will he be able to get them to return to the fold?

Or is it possible that this White House is out of touch with its base? That they are in a bubble?

These are tough questions to ask but I sense that the base is at a breaking point. They have no more empathy in the well?

I understand this is a tough subject to broach but I feel it must be asked?

Go ahead and criticize if you must.

1. My wife swears she will never bother to vote again. So that's one. He hasn't lost me, but is going to lose my money since I am being forced out of my job by Rick Scott and will need every penny.

3. He has not lost his base until they actually do not vote for him in 2012.

People can say whatever they like now, but we won't really know until then.

4. This is the problem with the current state of the Democratic party. Too many people claim to be liberal and progressives.

I think he lost the true progressive/liberal base, but the DLCers who call themselves liberals and progressives will fully support him.

In conclusion, yes, I think he lost old school liberals and progressives.

5. People will say so because talk is cheap. But when they see who the other candidate is, they will be back.

If franksolich were the Big Zero, he wouldn't worry about losing the 3-5,000 primitives in 2012.

Come no matter what, they'll back him to the last primitive.

If the Kenyan took orders from me on every decision he makes from here on out, he would still get every DUmmy vote, and 98% of the black vote. The DUmp and the blacks have zero leverage with him. They're sure votes, and they're worthless as contributors.

I think that you two are both correct.  The ones that the Obumbler has to worry about are the moderates that put him in the WH.  He's lost a substantial number of them, and very few of the pundit class recognize that.

The muslim has never accomplished anything in his life, and his true political leanings remain as hidden as his true religion and the facts surrounding his birth. So his political appeal is based entirely on his race. He's as black today as he was in 2008, so he's in a pretty strong position.

A lot of the moderates were taken in by the Hope'n'Change that was promised.  If Obama was as strong as you think, the Republicans wouldn't have taken over the House.

DUmmie contributions?  What the Hell does he need that piss-ant nickel-and-dime chump-change for, he already has a billion-dollar re-election war-chest.

He wasn't on the ballot, so the projects and the barrios didn't turn out to vote. It will be harder to make gains in 2012, regardless of the presidential outcome, because millions of extra Mexicans and blacks will show up.

Maybe they will DU the election and ensure a landslide.
You see, I don't care you how feel.  I really don't.  More importantly, neither does anyone else.  Only about 200 people on a planet of 7 billion actually care about your feelings, and that's if you're lucky.  The sooner you grasp this lesson, the better off you will be.  And since almost no one gives a damn what you do, say, think, or feel, appealing to your feelings when you encounter differences of opinion is not only illogical, but useless.
