Hey if Pelosi would have done her constitutional duty and submitted a budget last year, there would be no arguing about the current budget. It would have been a done deal and we wouldn't have a say until we submit the new budget.

What does that have to do with now? The government has fully been in operation since then. I guess they've obviously been funding it somehow? Didn't the Dems try to pass a budget last year but it was (surprise, surprise) filibustered by the Republicans?

I don't recall the GOP filibustering the budget.

5. I have been hearing this on local talk radio too.

Well, not 2009, but 2010.

Gotta say, we probably should have passed the budget on time, because this is a cluster with them in control.

 :lmao:

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Umm . . . the Dems had a fillibuster-proof majority.  Major fail.

  • Where are you going? I was gonna make espresso!
My, these DUmmies seem to have a bit of a gross conceptual error when it comes to budgets and the Constitution.

Here's a little bit of a hint for ya, DUmbasses--the HOUSE (you know, what you ran until January) is where all spending and appropriation bills originate.  Yes, I know, the president submits a budget PROPOSAL, but it's merely a guideline and the HOUSE, per Article I, Section 8, is the government body that actually APPROVES the bill and APPROPRIATES the money.  They control the purse strings.

Second, you cannot filibuster in the House, only in the Senate.

But it's pointless to try and illuminate the primitives how it works.

One of the smartest, most intelligentest, persons on the internet, a primitive on Skins's island, for example, a couple of years ago asked why, if the Big Zero was having so many problems with Bela Pelosi and Scary Harry, the Big Zero just didn't fire them and hire a new Speaker and leader of the majority in the Senate.

I kid you not.
