630AM KHOW, Denver posting the video of the Ashura procession is catching a lot of flak for being racist. The video depicts Shia Muslims slashing the heads of children until they have blood running down their faces. Granted, the cuts aren't deep but the entire purpose of the ritual is to condition Shia hatred of Sunnis.
Displaying self-inflicted injury has somehow morphed into externally inflicted injury and that injury is deemed racism.
I know this is the reflex response liberals throw anytime they are confronted with an uncomfortable fact but it must now be met head-on. Heretofore it has been such a volatile charge the party
j'accused had no opportunity to properly counter the insult as they were left scrambling to prove their non-bigoted bona fides. Thankfully, the liberals have worn out that charge through frivolous application and overuse.
The first question we have to ask is: why is this particular video racist? Apparently the Shia have not been embarrassed by this display for the 1,300 some-odd years they have been observing it. It's only when white liberals become involved that the observance is to be kept in the corner, off to the side, away from where others might see it.
I think the reason why is obvious to all: if average Americans were allowed to see the video they might be so horrified they will demand such acts never be allowed to be perpetrated on American soil. Liberalism wants you know it's just wrong for Americans to feel horrified by scenes of ritualized child mutilation.
Why is this wrong? Because even the most agnostic among them is heavily influenced by the Judeo-Christian ethos that underpins Western civilization.
So what is wrong with being influenced by Judeo-Christian ethos? Apparently religion is bad because it leads to irrational blood-letting in the name of God.
Remember though, we're talking about protecting Ashura here so your irony meter should be pegged to the double yew-tee-eff level. Like a late-night TV ad: But wait there's more.
Of course if Jews or Christians were slashing the heads of their children then palm-slapping the wounds until blood ran down the child's face and the child was screaming in terror liberals would be howling to have the synagogue/church shuttered. So what's the difference?
Simple: the Muslims aren't white. In the same manner African Americans apparently cannot be educated or employed absent total dependency on white liberals so too are Muslims excused from bloody child abuse whose sole intent is to inculcate murderous hatred. Ditto illegal immigration. Hispanics could never be expected to reform their own societies into functioning, law-abiding, balanced civil institutions free of corruption. They are instead to be given sanctuary in cities run by white liberals.
So there you have it. Blacks need whites just to get by in life and you really can't expect any better of Muslims and Hispanics and if you dare suggest otherwise...
...you're a racist.
Now you know why liberals are always so smug in their superiority over you.
