I can't figure out why it takes so much longer to count liberal votes than it does conservative votes.

It takes WAY longer in EVERY close race that liberal candidates win.

Well there is this story about voter registration fraud from ACORN, hardly a conservative group.

If the Democrats did cheat - they 'misundrestimated' the number of Republican voters. They needed it to be lopsided enough that there would be no recount requested. And since Wisconsin recounts by hand, anything 'odd' is going to show up.

If Wisconsin allows same day registration, aren't those usually given provisional ballots?  Wouldn't those likely draw a closer inspection?

I am not sure - I don't know exactly what Wisconsin does - but yes, if the same day registrations get a provisional ballot, they should be looked at, and should break at roughly the same percentage as the precinct did. And as I mentioned in another thread, if the ballots are numbered, sequences should be scrutinized.

I think you are correct.  At least that's the way I remember them being handled in other states.  I remember provisional ballots not being counted until *after* the general election is concluded.

That will be impossible to determine - however - if there is fraud, it will be obvious. For example, if the surrounding community voted for Kloppenberg 70-30% and the provisionals from the same area voted Kloppenberg at a rate of 10 or 20 to 1, then it will be clear there was ballot box stuffing.

It is likely, but it is still premature to do so. The recount request has to come after the last report is finalized and filed. Then the request can be made up to 3 days later.
