My Recent Experience with a Teabagger

This woman was working in one of my offices. She came up to me and proudly declared that she was a teabagger. She then proceeded to tell me that the FBI had visited her house and told her that she no longer had freedom of speech and that they had shut down her blog. I looked up the blog right there, in front of her, and it showed that it was expired. She explained, of course, that the hosting company was just covering for the FBI and that it wasn't just expired, but couldn't be renewed when she tried to give them her credit card. She said that she had lost hundreds of thousands of dollars because they had shut her blog down because it was "professionally" designed. She said that they had shut it down because she had exposed that they were not keeping our borders secure. Very strange.

"She came up to me and proudly declared that she was a teabagger."

Sh'yeah, right!  As if!

"She then proceeded to tell me that the FBI had visited her house and told her that she no longer had freedom of speech and that they had shut down her blog."

So... she's actually a liberal and a member of DU.

"I looked up the blog right there, in front of her, and it showed that it was expired."

I'm no expert, but I don't think that's even possible without trying to log in to the hosting service.  I've never seen any website taken down with the notice "This website is expired."

"She said that she had lost hundreds of thousands of dollars because they had shut her blog down because it was "professionally" designed."

And millions of Iraqis have died because of GWB's war for oil, too.

Man, that is pathetic! Expired website?  :rotf:

It's time for TomInTrib's sock puppet to make his presence known.  He and Bouncyball wrote the best bouncies ever.  If you are unfamiliar with them, use the search function. I did when I was new and didn't get the references. They are HILARIOUS!

I hope one of the DUmmies has their two brain cells bump together long enough to ask "What is the blog URL?"

Ugh...  There are a few more responses and they are just buying it hook, line and sinker.

I am a little drunk so I may be mis-remembering, but didnt some DUmbass post that his blog was shutdown in the last few months. Of, since he was speaking truth to power it was the FBI/CIA/BFEE that shut him down. Then it turned out he had violated some rule set by his ISP. I don't know. That sounds familiar. And gives this poorly constructed bouncy a template...

8. Actually, she quit.

I wiped the sweat off of my brow when she did. I wasn't going to fire her just for being a teabagger, but everything else, well....sometimes those kinds of people just make your office a wreck if you keep them. I was glad I didn't have to wait for her to implode.

I don't think she liked me pulling up her blog, or the expired notice on the host's website. She felt it was a challenge to her credibility, I guess. Of course, when she came up to me and proudly proclaimed that she was a teabagger, she lost all credibility for me. I guess she expected me to share her "conservative" values and give her a raise or something. When I was less than enthusiastic, I guess she felt that she'd blown her opportunity to impress me. She had.

Bouncies are supposed to be funny.
That one was just a pathetic lie.
No cops jumping out, no thunderous applause, no conversion...etc..etc.
Pathic lie.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

My Experience with a Teabagger (the stalking begins)

Some of you might remember the post I made yesterday about the teabagger at my office: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

So, this morning, I get this query from JMcH from Youtube: "Are you the same "Th1onein" from DU?"

I write him back and tell him that I am, indeed, the same person. I get this back: "What was the blog URL?"

I guess he wants the URL of the blog the teabagger was complaining about being shut down by the FBI. I'm not going to give it to him, of course, because that gives this poor old lady's identity out to the entirety of the internet. It's called protecting someone's privacy. Plus, it's also a matter of protecting this poor old lady in the first place. She's obviously got enough problems, or she wouldn't make something like this up, to begin with, right? So, I tell him this in so many words.

I get this, in response: "So in other words, the website never actually existed and neither did this "poor old lady.""

And this is from a guy who calls himself a Christian. Yeah, right. I'm supposed to divulge enough information to this guy so that he can identify this crazy old lady and do God knows what with the information, and because I won't, then I must be a liar and must have made the whole thing up. Real Christian attitude.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x802532

So lemme get this straight he brags about confronting a tea bagger now he is worried about invading her privacy.

10. I don't. But I thought it would be nice to front him out on DU for his non-Christian behavior.

He apparently reads the posts here. He's apparently one of those keyboard warriors from one of the rightwing sites who thinks he can stalk DUers, with no consequences. NOT going to happen.

Here's his latest email to me, and my response, below it:

From JMcH: No, I never expected you to disclose any information at all -- not even a simple thing such as the blog URL -- to verify your story.

My reply:

So you never expected me to disclose any information? Then why did you ASK for it? And it's not "a simple thing" to give out the blog URL. You can find out her name from that. You really think I'm going to call this woman out for the idiot that she is and then give her identifying information to a complete stranger (who apparently seems to be stalking people from Democratic Underground) on the internet?

I don't know about your friends, Mr. Internet Christian, but decent people don't do that kind of thing to others. They have integrity and compassion. Even if they do find that someone is acting like an idiot, they don't expose them personally for the entire world to ridicule. Especially when that person is a former employee.

I don't NEED to verify anything for you. I don't know you. I could care less what you think about me, or whether you believe me or not. You're very obviously an idiot, with no decency, parading around in your psuedo-Christian keyboard warrier costume.

Once again reading a public forum is somehow stalking. If we were praising them and saying how brilliant they are, I'm sure that wouldn't be stalking.

Just an automatic jerk. Strange how he thinks that would get him anywhere. But, then, a lot of these rightwingers are authoritarian personalities. It really screws up their heads when someone tells them no.

This from the goon who right out of the box called this lady, that he is all of a sudden so concerned about, a tea bagger.

insisting that you're lying and that you have to prove it to him?

Bah.

How is asking for a man to back up his accusations with proof, schoolyard mentality?

Laughable.  I was not surprised by the responses.  People with something to hide (i.e. that they lied) get very irrationally defensive like that when they are asked even the simplest question (e.g. "What's the blog URL?").

Notice once again that no one even thinks of questioning if Th1onein's story is true or not.

And this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever:

Quote
I'm not going to give it to him, of course, because that gives this poor old lady's identity out to the entirety of the internet.

Um...  If she's got a blog with her identity on it -- which is the excuse you're using to dodge providing the URL -- THEN HER IDENTITY IS ALREADY OUT TO THE ENTIRETY OF THE INTERNET!!!!   :thatsright:

If the blog was expired because said "poor old lady" didn't pay her web host then what difference would it make for her to give someone the web address? Links to blogs are given out all the time. But giving the web address for a blog THAT NO LONGER EXISTS isn't going to violate anyone's privacy. Wouldn't even be able to get an inkling about what the blog's theme was. You'd think even the DUmmies would realize how absolutely ****ing stupid this response is. Asshats.
