"You all" are almost not going to believe this:
as some of you may have noticed, I've been away from my computer for a few hours (Pretty egocentric, eh?). Great to see all the posts. I was at an alumni brunch (and a speaker) from my undergraduate University and unbelievably, in a whole room of really neat, interesting folks here in Philly, I was seated next to the only Teabagger in the room. How did I know she was a Teabagger? When they announced that former President Clinton would be the main speaker for the reunion in October, she hissed and said to me, as though I were a confidante, "I'm not going to see that conniving bastard" and THEN, even worse, she told me that she proudly voted for Governor Christie. As a gentleman, I said nothing in reply - it was just not worth it. Mrs. (and Dr.) Intern was proud of my restraint and confessed to me afterwards that she was concerned that I might 'get into it' with the lady, but was pleased that I just smiled and said nothing.

7. Nope...couldn't do it.
It was the MOST congenial setting I've been in in a very long time and had no intention of being the one to spoil it: about 70 people there in a beautiful new hotel, the Palomar, and wonderful everything and a great talk by the Professor who spoke on Motivation from a research standpoint. 10. At my last reunion, I got into with a guy
My dad was a teacher at my school - US History. So this guy at the reunion who was in uniform was telling everyone how he had just retired from the military. Then he went on about how his last assignment had been helping the FBI spy on "al qaeda friendly US citizens" (this was shortly after we had invaded Iraq). So I asked if he had my dad for History and he said yes and I said well he'd probably be pretty embarrassed that you weren't paying attention the day he taught the constitution, which certainly doesn't allow the military to spy on American citizens. Then another guy asked him why he was in uniform if he was retired and another guy asked if he really should be talking about what sounded like top secret information. The guy in uniform walked away and one of the other guys high fived me.

Actually, a pretty good bouncy, complete with approving bystanders.

Loud enough that only she could hear my displeasure. Not loud enough to make a scene or gain anyone else's notice. So if she reacted adversely, I'd just glance around and shrug with a little dismissive snicker, to telegraph the message - "hey, can't help it that I'm seated next to Berzerko Lady..."

This is curious:  PCintern (who I always thought of as a woman), says:
