Oh my.

And it's a good thing she did too, because the primitives seem to have forgotten all about it.

THE BITTER OLD VERMONTESE CALI PRIMITIVE
Original message

So how are things now in Egypt? Looks to be a mixed bag.

A sweeping ban on all protests and strikes. Not good at all. Elections with high participation and much needed reforms passing. Good. Growing influence of fundamentalists. Not so good.

The outcome of Egypt's revolution is still pretty much up in the air.

1. I'm with you on this one. The new alliance between the military and the MB is a disturbing revelation. The last thing the people of Egypt need is another Iranian style government. Unfortunately, it looks like it might be headed in that direction. Only time will tell.

2. I am sure it will take time and continued effort to sort it out, but I still have hope...

Egypt....HOPE AND CHANGE....lot of change, not much hope.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I have a confession to make. I actually like the cali primitive.  :whistling:
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Well, nothing wrong with that, I think.

I go in ebbs and flows with the bitter old Vermontese cali primitive.

She's definitely not your typical primitive.

Short story, the USA lost an ally and we will have another islamic theocracy in the Middle east. Christians, women, and Israel hardest hit.

Carter lost Iran. Obama is going to lose the entire middle east.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Right.

For those who don't know, the bitter old Vermontese cali primitive works as a "chef" at some elite tea-and-biscuits "English Country Garden" wannabe place up in northern Vermont.

They charge $29.95-39.95 per pot of tea.

One assumes it's really popular with the proletariat.
