Before I start this rant, some background info:
My mom had a heart attack on Sept. 5 and died in my house. My husband, the baby, and I moved in with dad because I could not live where my mom had died.
My father is: 1) a moonbat; 2) a curmudgeon; 3) a tightwad (we can only run the dishwasher every three or four days, can't do more than X loads of laundry and can't use hot water if we do, etc). He's notoriously cheap.
So last night, we come back home from a nice walk to find that dad has bought a 46" Samsung HDTV. This thing is freaking ginormous. He bugs us about the electricity, the water, etc., yet he goes out and buys this monstrosity?????

Is it wrong of me to ask him how he could afford it in this horrible *Bush economy???
