Thank you all so much for the birthday greetings! That is very kind of all of you.
I've been off/on all day with computer problems.  I think it's time to get the party started / get wasted away again in Margaritaville :)

I think that pic is from kitty wigs.

By the way, I don't know if I said this already, but I lived in Memphis in the mid 70s. I was in elementary school back then. I remember going to LibertyLand and the zoo, seeing Graceland from outside (Elvis was still alive), and listening to Rick Dees and Bob ? on WHBQ.

my mom danced with Elvis and got mad at him because he called her a cute little girl  :lmao:  he used to come pick up his girlfriend at her high school in Frayser.  It's freaky here during Death Week for Elvis fans........they are a weird bunch.

Frayser - boy, that place has sure changed. That's actually where we lived in the 70s. As a child I remember it being somewhat decent middle class.  Do you know where Sky lake is? That's where we lived. Nothing fancy, but it had lots of kids and I liked it.  I took a little tour of it the  other day on google street view. Yikes!

I saw Frayser HS in the  news a few weeks ago. I think they have the highest number of pregnant teens in the nation. Back then, we went to private school due to bussing.

It sure is. Wow!
We lived on Spring Hill Dr. As a child, I thought our house was so big.  When I saw it on google, I wondered if the current owners cut it in half :).  Funny how you remember things from childhood.

Is Olive Branch in MS?

ETA: I didn't look at the whole neighborhood. i just looked at my street and it looked very different. How long has it been since you moved away from that area? There may be some really nice parts of the area still, but my little part of the street has definitely seen better days.

I was about 7 when we moved from there to Olive Branch and my parent's have lived in the same house for over 30 years.  Frayser sucks and is just a ghetto now.  All of Memphis is a ghetto.  Olive branch is in MS,
