Republicans are scared to death Obama will succeed in Libya.

Because they are more concerned about the next election than anything else. Have you ever seen a bigger bunch of hypocrites? After George W Bush and the illegal Iraq invasion, they have finally seen the light.

But if Khadafy is overthrown and a new government is set up in Libya, that will be difficult for the Republicans to run against. That is what they are scared of. They don't give a big rat's ass who is invaded or killed so long as there is a Republican President doing it.

If Obama is successful in getting rid of Khadafy, right or wrong, it will probably mean re-election for another term. That scares the beJesus out of the Obama haters.

No, dumb**** we are scared Obama will **** it up, just like he has every other thing he has done in 2 years.

15. Republicans are scared of Obama succeeding at ANYTHING

Considering their miserable slate of potential candidates to stand against Obama, I'd hope that their fears are more than justified.

The part in bold is 100% accurate but, not for the reasons the DUmmy thinks.
We want him to fail because his plans are destroying our country. If he was on the right track we would support him no matter what party he is. He is currently digging a hole so deep that I dunno how long it will take us to climb out of.

Yep we are scared of oil, nuclear power, global warming, and Christians.

Oh wait, that's you idiots.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Khadafi posed NO threat to the US or our interests.  Our bombing of their country is illegal.

Or maybe it is just what Obama needs for re-election.

Don't you actually have to say what it is you are building to know if you've built the right thing and the structure is sound?

The OP might as well say, "The GOP is afraid Obama will invent the 3-sided wheel!"

And what precisley will be measured as success in Libya?  MQ ain't a good guy, but he's been more with us than against us in recent memory.  Seems like he at least mostly got the message.  The rebels that the western idiots, er I mean liberals, are wetting themselves over?  They are from the same area that sent one out of every five foreign jihadis in Iraq.  They are no particular friend of ours.

So what is success?  Taking out an abusive government that at least is staying clear of us?  Creating an AQ and MB safe haven where there wasn't one?  Creating a caliphate?  This entire operation is as stupid and as poorly thought out as McCain's presidential campaign.

Liberals believe success is when Islamic extremists are in charge there.  No thank you, but I'd rather have the devil we know rather than the devil we don't.

I'm going to back his play. For now.

But only because our military people have been committed. Unlike you DUmmies out there did with Bush, I'm not going to publicly impugn his motives for political purposes without incontrovertible evidence that they're anything but just, and in so doing give moral ammunition to the enemy. That's your game. I hope for his success because success means fewer U.S. casualties, ideally none at all.

His competence and wisdom? That's another thing. If he starts stupidly getting our people killed, or we end up with a greater evil in Libya than exists now, then all bets are off.

Sadly, the only thing Obama has succeeded at is borrowing or printing of 5 billion dollars evey day he has been in office.

As to the middle east, Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya will most likely go hardcore islamic theocracy just like Iran. Obama will go down as the worst president in our history.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I won't speak for all Republicans, as Kentuck wants to do, but I will say I'm concerned, because the CIC has no idea what he's doing, and that puts our men at risk.

I tried to read the thread, but surprise.  It's just as disjointed and incoherent as Obama's stance/position/whatever on this whole thing.

I've never heard of a mixed-religion household headed by a moose-limb male.  I suppose it's possible, but I've never heard of one.

Does anyone know the plan? Is there a plan?

Not having a plan is this administration's policy. I'd like to think it's because he's clever enough to not to outline his intentions so that whatever happens he can declare that was the plan all along. But really, it's because he's a lousy, spineless man whose in way over his head and he simply doesn't care enough to learn. He likes the title, not the work.
