U.S. Backing For World Currency Stuns Markets
« on: March 17, 2011, 12:35:08 PM »
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner drops mega bomb.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner shocked global markets by revealing that Washington is "quite open" to Chinese proposals for the gradual development of a global reserve currency run by the International Monetary Fund.

"The mere fact that the U.S. Treasury Secretary is even entertaining thoughts that the dollar may cease being the anchor of the global monetary system has caused consternation".  -David Bloom, Currency Chief, HSBC.

Gee...  What happened to the DOW after that little comment?

No. Neither has their agenda.

The whole administration, from top to bottom are a bunch of traitors. Each one was "specifically picked" to be where they are.

The Dollar is the world reserve currency because the market wanted it to be the reserve currency.

Personally, if remaining the reserve currency requires America to continue shipping millions of jobs to Korea & China,
I say let the Korean & Chinese have it.

BTW, nobody in their right mind would ever want to make international deals in either one of their currencies.

The most important problem facing the US is the loss of jobs. Our kids graduate and cannot find work.

What should be done about the loss of high value manufacturing to the Far East -
and specifically to our greatest enemy -- China.

Take care of that problem -- the other problems will be de minimis.

That's a paraphrase of something Donald Trump said. I thought I was quoting him exactly. But I guess not.
I'll keep it there anyway. It's succinct.

A very good interview with Trump in Human Events this month. Can Donald Trump Save America?

"Let me give you an example,” Trump says. “South Korea. We send our ships to protect them.
Do they pay us?  They don’t pay us. Why are we protecting them, and if we’re going to protect them,
why aren’t they paying us?”

My Dad fought in Korea. We protected those people for free. We're still protecting them for free.
And we're shipping our jobs over to them too.

Is America a great country, or what?

I know. I heard and saw that interview. He also opposes gay marriage and abortion. :cheersmate:
