That's interesting, someone posted a Vanity today at FR, CNN was interviewing a Japanese Reporter and he was talking about the difference between the people in Japan and those effected by Katrina, he said that people waited patiently on line for water etc. and how the people didn't charge their news van and stealing items like they did when he reported on Katrina.

Liberals pretend their policies extend from an unwavering desire for community.

In reality they are selfish and self absorbed. They want social safety nets because they feel life is unfair (especially to them) and they are owed for their inconvenience.

Japan, in contrast, has a genuine communal spirit. It isn't about what society owes them but rather it is about their commitments and obligation to society.

So, where liberalism reigns there is an attending attitude of self-indulgence and no sense of obligation to others.

Ergo liberals steal just as surely as they lie.

You do realize, Japan doesn't have a coupla minorities to take advantage of the situation, right?

After all, we owe them a livin', since we took advantage of them 150 years ago!

C'mon you guys, get with the program!

Japan doesn't have minorities! They don't have a built in supply of victims! They only owe themselves, and I doubt there's more than a few thousand out of millions, that think they can steal from someone else in order to improve their situation. It's called self respect! The Japanese come from a culture that stealing loses face. We have lost that self respect, and I doubt we will ever get it back. I doubt we have ever really had it in the first place! Even our own President is apologizing to the world for all the innovation our free society has brought to the world!

[/rant]

I'm ashamed how we act in crisis compared those in Japan. Nuff said............

The way these people are takin' care of business, makes me envious. Why is it we have lost our way?
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!

I love how the OP is being called a racist for simply pointing out the truth.

With all of the hysterical knee-jerk reactions you have wrought by posting your OP, there will be plenty of work for them.

Different mindset. Sadly the US used to be like that. Still are in the rural areas. Not so much in the urban areas anymore. Thank LBJ for that.

This, and sorry to make it political, but rural areas like Iowa are also mainly conservative. Democrats created a culture of entitlement, a culture where nothing is your fault; you were just the victim of an evil system. Why this is given a pass, when MILLIONS would die to get here, is beyond me and why I question the intelligence and/or sanity of Democrats.
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Too many years here of the Liberal mindset. It's almost completely poisioned our socity. Look at what passes for "reality TV" on MTV and such. I watched some spoiled brat DEMANDING a BMW from daddy for her 16th birthday. I would have bitchslapped her ass into the last century and made sure she rode a bicycle until she left the house.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
