People things are VERY CALM in Madison
   
how can I tell? I am listening to Madison PD comms. I have never ever heard such a calm radio traffic when essentially you have 20K people in the streets.

Yes I am rusty... on the 10 Code and there are some that are different from the ones I once used, but this is a very calm EMS\PD system. Granted, I have no access to the tactical channel... on the APP I downloaded, but this is as quiet as I have ever heard a communications system. The alert tones are driving me nuts. But that is another matter.

Hell they are even going on a mutual aid call... on another town... which means... they don't expect anything major.

20k my ass. Maybe 1k looking for free pizza. Yes you are rusty..... nevermind....

Haha. 20k.... That's rich.

However, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was 2-3k people ther last night. Watching video from inside, and outside the Capitol around 2-3am this morning, I wouldn't be surprised at all. NadinNumbers overblew it by a lot, but I think it's larger than you think, CC.

I've never been fond of people listening in on law-enforcement communications, and nadinostradamus has no reason--professionally--whatsoever to be snooping on law-enforcement nearly 2000 miles away from her.

I was just talking in that general vicinity, Skul. I know about the bar flies.

And I have to admit, I have listened to Police/Fire scanners before. Never for any "up to no good" purpose, but basically to learn more about their job, communications, how they get things done. I admire them, so I would like to be more informed. I daresay Nadine doesn't have the same innocent motives.

I understand some of the police codes, others I have to actually look up.  I'd give a listen over lunch/nap time.  

I saw live video from the Capitol last night.  Those DUmmies were not calm.

Well, that scanner is quiet for now. I suspect maybe because of Mahoney Bologna's orders. However, I would not be surprised if it picked up around dusk, and later.
