Wisconsin Senate vote was illegal 
 Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca (D) attempted to make a motion to delay the meeting or make amendments -- and was not recognized for a motion by the chair, state Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald. Barca argued, over Fitzgerald's attempts to say there would be no motions, that the conference committee violated the state's open meetings law, which requires at least 24 hours notice before a government meeting, unless there is good cause to act more quickly.

 First, I believe the Wisconsin attorney general is a rightwinger who would never enforce it - he'd just say there was good cause.

Second, the courts rarely get involved in the business of the legislative branch.

J. B. Van Hollen is fairly apolitical in applying the law, unlike Jim Doyle who used to hold the AG job prior to becoming the ruiner-in-chief of the state.

Oh -- libs actually know how to use the word 'illegal' - I figured they lost that ability after the 'immoral and illegal' wars stopped being immoral and illegal sometime around the 21st of January, 2009 - Now if they would couple that with the word 'immigrant' we might have something.
