The only people who connect Loughner with the conservatives is the idiots at DU and Sheriff Dipshit.
So how in the hell could his going on trial before the election hurt the republicans? The only people connecting him with conservatives are going to vote dem anyway.

Loughner is a troofer. Id say that kinda automatically excludes him from being in the GOP. He also has a pagan altar in his yard - That would exclude him from being part of the 'religious right'.

He also had said and done a lot of things that exclude him from sanity.
