Karzai has to appear ballsy to his own people, and this is how he does it.

Of course, Lord Zero is so far removed from this situation that silence will continue from the Oval Orifice.

It's a political situation that can't be handled by Obama, so he'll say nothing and hope that it'll go away.

Meanwhile, I'm relatively certain that nobody has bothered to tell Karzai that in a war zone, innocent people get killed. You can minimize it and reduce it, but you can never eliminate it. And Hamid? If your nose hadn't been stuck up the Taliban's ass, maybe none of this would be happening.  :bird:

He's trying to position himself to land on his feet with credibility as something besides our puppet when we pull the plug, or start pulling the plug, which Obama is inevitably going to do before he the 2012 election for reasons that should be obvious.  It's Kabuki.
