Gov. Walker and state Republicans may be sending them $100-a-day fines and arrest warrants, but take a look at some Facebook and phone messages real people are sending the brave Wisconsin 14:

# "I was taught to either stand for something or fall for anything....Thank you for setting a great example!"

# "Thank you, thank you, thank you! Please know how much the citizens of Wisconsin understand your sacrifices in leaving your homes, families and constituents to do the right thing and stop this ridiculous budget 'repair' bill. You give us hope!"

Seems to me they are circumventing democracy by running and hiding. The people put the governor and the republicans in the majority in office and they are preventing the people who the majority put in office from doing their job.

Oh puhleeeeze !!! Misdirected and cheap accolades with inconsiderate vocabulary such as we hear from sports anchors describing the feats of athletes in games has always annoyed me a bit. When it coms from people such as those at the DUmp though, to describe such cowards as the "Wisconsin 14" is goes well beyond annoying, frankly it pisses me right off.

"Heroes".

"Brave".

"Sacrifices".

"Guts".

Here is an example of someone actually worthy of those descriptions, someone who has earned them the hard way, and selflessly so. It is only because of people like this that those in places like Wisconsin, Berkeley, and the Westboro Hate Mob have the right to say the things they do with impunity. They themselves have done NOTHING to earn those rights, yet they enjoy them fully.
This is a man who is a HERO, who has made no small number of SACRIFICES, a BRAVE man with GUTS who will GO DOWN IN HISTORY unlike the despicable 14 who will GO DOWN IN INFAMY. He stands head and shoulders above them all and he does so on two prosthetic limbs.

But I have a question for the primitives--why was it "bad" when the Republican minorities in the House and Senate 2007-2011 used their legislative powers to stop, or at least stall, some of the ruinous 0bama proposals, but now it's "good" for the Dem minority in the Wisconsin Senate to do what they can do, to stop, or at least stall, some of the constructive Walker proposals.

Why was one thing "bad," and this thing is "good," when they're essentially the same thing?

Frank, you're feeding the one of the DUmmies fantasies.  They like to believe that it was the republicans that stopped Obama from being a Gos and implementing all of their wishes, when the simple truth is that Obama couldn't even convince all of his own party members to easily pass his agenda.  Democrats stopped most of their own dreams for Obama.

There is a huge difference actually, Frank. The GOP didn't run away like cowards. They showed up at work and stood together. Knowing full well if the dems stood together they would lose. The DUmmies would never admit that point. I do get your point about them bitching and moaning about gridlock when the GOP did it and are applauding the dems for grid locking. I just thought the difference needed to be pointed out so we can't be considered hypocrites for supporting the GOP and condemning the dems for the same tactic when in fact it isn't the same.

Going to your appointed place at the capitol to represent your constituents in the legislative process is democracy. Abrogating your responsibility to do so by running and hiding and subverting that process is the very antithesis of democracy. In practical terms, it bears a closer resemblance to mob rule.

Every convention of society is ass backwards to DUmmies.

Cowardice = bravery

Sedition = patriotism

Capitulation = defense

Taxation = charity

Hate = tolerance

Perversion = virtue

Censorship = freedom

This is very serious.  This is at the very least, a constitutional crisis at the state level. It is a direct assault at our republican form of government.

There is nothing patriotic about it.  It is sick.
