Question I have regarding teabagger "logic"...
Yeah I know teabagger logic is an oxymoron at it's most textbook level, but there's one question I've never seen asked:

If these people hate the government so much and want it out of their lives, then why do they want to run it so badly?

It seems to me if they hate it so much, they'd stay out of it!

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x557819

Because if we leave it to you idiots to govern you will steal our property, our money and our freedom and use it to pad your pockets, pay-off your cronies and buy votes at our expense.

You will also leave us at the mercy of incompetent bureaucrats, pitiless criminals and murderous foreign invaders.

You'll chase after every half-brained chimera and steal what little of our money we have left to fund impotent solutions to non-existent problems.

You'll slander innocent people over charges of murder while your thugs punch young women and heel-stomp blacks to ringing refrains of "N*****!" while anyone who wants to not use government healthcare is somehow a racist.

In short, liberals are to be used for skeet, not government offices but somebody has to mind the store so its best to use people who want government to be minimized so honest people can live free.

I look forward to your rebuttal.

you shit-encrusted ****stick

Yep they have been spreading the myth that we are anarchists for so long that they believe it.
They can't comprehend that we support a govt that acts only in constitutional ways and if we don't think something in the constitution works anymore we want it amended, not congress just making laws. That is the other myth at DU that we hate the constitution because we want a thing or 2 changed.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Yes. We hate govt and want it out of our lives. But to do that, we have to take it away from YOU!
See that's the key. YOU won't leave us alone. You insist on a nanny state and YOU want to criminalize all normal human behavior.

We have to take over the govt because YOU have infested it with your filth.
YOU are the problem. YOU refuse to work with us, talk with us, or even compromise.
YOU will not be part of the solution. Kicking YOU out IS the solution!

As it's obscene, don't bother asking me to translate it from the original.

We don't hate government, we hate out of control big government. We want to be in charge because, quite frankly, you aren't qualified.  You have allowed yourself to become infantilized making your unqualified to run your own life, let alone anybody else's.  You have allowed yourself to become undisciplined. You have allowed yourself to become autocratic. You have allowed yourself to become a bully.

You are the reason I think of Democrats and liberals every time I see a zombie movie.

You cannot be reasoned with.  You cannot be talked with.  You cannot be debated with.  You can only be defeated.

And when you find yourself with nothing, you may finally take a cold hard look at yourself and decided to mature. And on that day, we will welcome you because you will have become someone who can be reasoned with.  But until then, enjoy your refrigerator box under the overpass.

I don't know Yiddish, but since it's based somewhat on German, I'm guessing it means kiss my ass.

Personally I prefer SGT SnuggleBunny's shit encrusted ****stick comparison. :-)

When I find either Pedro Picasso or the sparkling husband primitive especially worthy of disgusted contempt--which is a phenomenon becoming more and more common--I refer to either one of them as goy schmekele.

Don't bother googling it; it means "unclean undersized male sexual organ."

I do pretty good at swearing in Yiddish.

Do you speak Gaelic, Celtic Rose?  I've never learned any, except a few words scattered around in historical romances.   :whistling:

That is about the extent of my gaelic as well.  I roughly know how to pronounce the words when I read them, and I've tried to teach myself with various sources online, but thus far, I have not been terribly successful.  It is one of my goals in life.

I know Pog mo Thoin because I like the Pogues, and that is where they got their name  :-)  I was driving with my aunt and mom, and somebody had Pog Mo Thoin on a bumper sticker, so I told them what it meant.  They were quite impressed  :lmao:

It would definitely be a lot more fun yelling "goy schmekele!" at someone rather than "unclean undersized male sexual organ!"

And so is your grammar, dipshit.

One only need to look at this disgusting inference to our political force to realize the MSM is in the back pocket of DemonRats! If it weren't publicized by the Alphabet networks and their left wing internet counterparts, this slang would  never have seen the light of day!

Of course they never actually used it "on air", but they let it slide on all of their comment pages! Therefore making it mainstream!

We are up against the most powerful, organized threat against our way of life since the country began!

We rely on individualism. Somehow I doubt that will be enough in this crisis! Until we finally take this conglomerate on with one our own, I fear we will always be playin' catch up!

The Tea Party movement is only a start. I don't see citizens takin' these lowlifes very seriously. It will be to our great disadvantage if we don't start taking them more serious. What is Becks following, 3 million out of 300? Not exactly a winning strategy.

They are taking us apart one brick at a time, and we do nothing about it. We are waiting for what? Full on Revolution? Do we really want to wait that long before we exercise our majority?

Do you realize 20% of the political population is forming the county's opinion on all the major news networks?

Pretty fatalist attitude, but tell me it's not the truth. The people of WI are bein' dictated to by the socialists of the country, and they don't seem to give a shit! I know there are Tea Party protesters ther, but if the number is not greater by 3 fold, you will never see it on the Tube, which is where 80% of the populace gets their info from. Until we completely overwhelm their numbers, it will never see the light of day.

Unions can afford to bus their people in. We cannot! We rely on our individualism! So where are we?

Givin' the last election, we shouldn't have to resort to slime ball tactics if we would just have as much passion as they seem to have in destroying our country! Where is our enthusiasm in saving the damn country?

Sorry, I just don't see where most Americans see the urgency!

Sorry, I just am not seeiing any faith. Without it, we are doomed. [/rant]

I'll admit it:  I hate government.  I am a firm believer in Jefferson's assertion that "at it's best, government is a necessary evil, and at it's worst, an intolerable one", and I add the corollary that no matter where your government falls on Jefferson's scale, the one constant is that IT IS EVIL.

Even with that, however, I operate in the world of reality.  And the reality is that as much as I might be able to build my own home, provide my own food and water, keep my family clothed, warm and educated with the strength of my own two hands, and interact with my neighbors on a positive and agreeable manner without the intervention of a *******ed nanny; not everyone in our society can, and thus some degree of government - however evil it may be - is necessary.
