Obama is just the president we need for a moment like this

We all knew going into 2008 that Obama was groing to drive debt through the roof. Maybe not this much as we've seen but we knew his blather about Bush's deficits was just a siren song to the indies. We also knew he was going to be a foreign policy disaster although he has remained in A-stan and is living up to the SOFA with Iraq. We also knew he was going to pass healthcare deform and play regulatory hell with free markets while acting as a union tool. We also told those idiots in the middle he voted "present" more times than not because he lacks the spin to be a leader.

The indies chose to believe him rather than those branded "racist". Since then the indies have choked on what they've seen; and well they should, the feckless bastards.

In fact, Obama has so lived up to every Cassandra-like prophecy uttered against him Obama gave us 2010 with bigger congressional gains expected in the next two election cycles. Moreover, he gave us a solid lock on state legislatures in the year of the redistricting.

But it goes deeper.

When could any of us, after so many years of being skewered on the horns of RINOs, could we have imagined Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Scott Walker or John Kasich let alone Andrew Cuomo or the seemingly epiphanized Jerry Brown?

Jerry Brown?

Really?

But there is more to it.

Obama's narcissism is legend. Unless it concerns him directly or offers him a chance to play Prometheus he simply will not be moved. Whether it is his ham-handed blandishments against the Chamber of Commerce, on-again-off-again-on-again support (or not) for uprisings in the Middle East or the passing swipe at state governors Obama provokes much but resolves nothing. Even his successes, i.e. ObamaCoup, become winning campaign points for the GOP. He will, like Jimmy Carter, be the face of democratic party impotence and incompetence for more than a generation.

What better catalyst for a conservative re-shaping of America than a liberal who pisses off just about everyone but is so aloof and disengaged his opponents can pretty much move unmolested?

Could we have asked for a better opponent? If you could pick your adversary would this not be the very archetype you would seek?

Thank Dog the liberals chose to elect Obama. Otherwise we might be in real trouble.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Darth Cheney and Rove the Magnificent could not have planned this any better.

Jerry Brown?

Really?

No, not really.  He's as big a Commie as ever.  It's easy to talk shit as the Governor when you know there is zero chance of your bluff being called on it by the Legislature actually doing what you say you want.
