The top 1% are HOARDERS -- that's the reality

The mental condition of the 1% is the same as that of hoarders who have debilitating mental disorders that delude them into destructive behaviors. They are ruining our collective "house" with their hoarding of money and power. They are causing grevious suffering in the American family.

Sometimes a family has to intervene in the hoarder's actions -- for their own good and for the good of the family.

And so it's time for those of sound mind to intervene by making the hoarders relinquish some of their stash, and putting them on a path of health and community. For their own good.

Tax the rich their fair share.

End corporate welfare.

Enact laws that take money out of politics.

Enact laws that return jobs to Americans.

We're doing this for your own good, 1%.

The rich don't get that way by stuffing their money in mattresses and mason jars.

4. if Democrats would use this frame, public opinion might be turned.

Everyone knows that hoarders need help. No one wants to be called a hoarder or be thought a hoarder.

So use the term. Say it loud and clear!

The super-rich are HOARDERS and they need an INTERVENTION.

Stop hoarding the weed.

27. They're not hoarders--they're ADDICTS!

They're addicts, and the accumulation of other people's hard-earned money is their drug.

Yes, they need an INTERVENTION for their own good.

GREED IS GOOD--FOR NOTHING!

Criminals and the government are the only ones that take other peoples money.

6. We must tax the plutocracy out of existence.

The increasing concentration of wealth and power is destroying the USA.

You could get the same result by moving to North Korea.

Wealth is created, not doled out, you f'n DUmbasses. It's not a zero-sum economy. Do you idiots think our GDP is the same today as it was in 1783?
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Enact laws that take money out of politics.
OK, we can start with that little incestuous relationship between public unions and democrats; taking my tax money, laundering, and funnelling money to democrats.

If you go over and read the thread, grasswire keeps posting the same thing over and over.  Two people will reply, and she'll jump in with "They are HOARDERS.  They need an INTERVENTION.  NOW.  For their OWN GOOD."
Tiresome, and also it looks seriously nutty.  She also desperately wants the word & concept to be part of the national linguistic fabric.  Pass it on to all your friends and family!  Please!!!!!

Let me just capture this from the thread before it goes away:

40. if you want to take money out of politics
then you shouldn't be advocating giving the politicians a bigger pie to give away as they see fit. more money to divide up = more corruption.

what is a "fair share" that the rich should be taxed?

if you want to keep jobs in the US - then you need to advocate a lower corporate income tax - we now have the highest in the western world. it's why companies leave. but you probably don't want to hear that..
Alert!  Alert!

48. Thanks for the suggestion - maybe you are the one in need
I already know more about taxes than most.

The reason SOME corporations pay no income tax is because they lose money - pretty simple stuff.

The reason some corporations move off shore is to avoid paying the highest rate in the western world.

This country would be better off with a corporate rate of zero - the shareholders would still have to pay tax on the additional income. The gov't would probably recognize more revenue and the companies would not have to go offshore - thereby creating more jobs in the US.

Define hoarding?

Are they stuffing billions of dollars into hundreds of mattresses?

No.

They put their money in banks, bonds and stocks where other people use it to provide goods, services or maintain public infratructure.

Even when they spend on luxuries they enhance the economy, i.e. a single yacht employees dozens of ship builders as well as a crew and dock workers that earns pretty tidy sums. Get rid of that yacht and you relegate dozens back into the economy of low wages.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

DUmmy grasswire, holed up in that charity room above someone's garage up there in Wisconsin, knows all about the top 1%. From her vantage point, from which her former friends have so far been unable to dislodge her, she has a clear view of the actions and motivations of the wealthy. As a lifelong loser, she's eminently qualified to comment on the winners...right?

Sgt Bunny, that is a simple lesson that can be learned simply by watching "It's a Wonderful Life."  I seem to recall learning it in elementary school at some point.  The real world does not operate like Scrooge McDuck, DUmmies.
