That's so sad.  :(

May that bitch rot in hell.

Nothing against younger women, but I just couldn't personally trust a 22 year old with my daughter.

She went out shopping and left a stove unattended. The fire started from there. I don't know why she would run a day care center all by herself.

How could she leave with a house full of toddlers??  No matter what else, you don't just leave a bunch of little kids all by themselves!

The parent's of these children trusted this woman to watch their kids.  Not go out to the grocery store for food.  Do that on your own time when the children have all been picked up for the day.  Four innocent little babies are now gone due to her negligence.  How these parent's can control themselves not to end that woman's life is beyond me.  Or maybe I am just way too protective of my daughter.

It absolutely floors me that you have to go to a BRITISH newspaper website to see what an AMERICAN fugitive from justice looks like.

One of the parents called it "unfortunate". That is a sever understatement. I can't imagine if I had a kid involved in something like that.

I feel terrible for them.

How was woman charged in fire able to flee?
http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=7985674

You have to wonder if she had help in fleeing to Nigeria. Now, the US Marshals is going to find her.

No you are not being overprotective. The fact is according to article, she had already been cited for not having a carbonmonoxide detector as well as a fire extinguisher in the center. To me that would be a red flag right there!! I wonder how many times before she had left the little ones unattended. I realize that we cannot discriminate against her age, but the state should have insisted that she should have another responsible(key word here)adult with her. Also isn't there supposed to ba a ratio of caregiver:child?
I feel bad for the parents...

Oh I discriminate against age.  I can't trust a 22 year old with my toddler.  No way.  Ever.  Not even a six year old.  Young adults these days are so much different than say, 10 years ago even.  I started babysitting at 13.  But there were less distractions back then.  That totally sounds like I am really old, but I'm not.  lol

I'd rather not wonder if my babysitter is playing Angry Birds on Android rather than watching my daughter.

You have a point there... That is why I mentioned having another responsible adult

DA warns public about day care victim fund

Jessica Tata's brother Ronald setup a charity fund for the victims. Sounds like a scam to me.

Witness' video captures Day care owner’s reaction to fatal fire
http://www.khou.com/video/featured-videos/Witness-video-captures-Day-care-owners-reaction-to-fatal-fire--117128683.html

11 minute video and shows Jessica Tata not distraught at all. If she is, she is likely faking it.

Does the video show her at the scene?  If so, I'm not sure I can watch it.  :(

Yes, it does. She does not look concerned or distraught. If she is, she is likely faking it.

There was a home that burned down a few years ago and the two children in the house died.  The grandmother was on camera saying how glad she was that she got her purse out in time.
