No you are not being overprotective. The fact is according to article, she had already been cited for not having a carbonmonoxide detector as well as a fire extinguisher in the center. To me that would be a red flag right there!! I wonder how many times before she had left the little ones unattended. I realize that we cannot discriminate against her age, but the state should have insisted that she should have another responsible(key word here)adult with her. Also isn't there supposed to ba a ratio of caregiver:child?

Oh I discriminate against age. I can't trust a 22 year old with my toddler. No way. Ever. Not even a six year old. Young adults these days are so much different than say, 10 years ago even. I started babysitting at 13. But there were less distractions back then. That totally sounds like I am really old, but I'm not. lol
I'd rather not wonder if my babysitter is playing Angry Birds on Android rather than watching my daughter.
