A Parable for Our Times
Mr. UnionizedPublicEmployee, Mr. TeaPartyMember and Mr.CEO together decide that they are going to make a batch of cookies.
Mr. CEO buys sugar, flour, butter, eggs and chocolate chips.
Mr. UnionizedPublicEmployee measures all the ingredients, carefully following the recipe.
Mr. TeaPartyMember mixes the ingredients and with the help of the Mr. UnionizedPublicEmployee, parcels out the resultant batter onto cookie sheets and together they pop them in the oven.
After ten minutes or so, they take the cookies out of the oven and place them onto racks to cool.
They all sit down at the kitchen table to enjoy the fruit of their labor -- a beautiful plate of a dozen freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Mr. CEO reaches across and takes 11 cookies, looks at Mr. TeaPartyMember and says, "Watch out for that union guy, he wants a piece of your cookie."

Doesn't even make sense. Why would the CEO take most of the cookies and eat them? Wouldn't he want to sell them to make a profit after buying the materials and supplying the electricity and the equipment to produce such cookies?

Here's a REAL story for you.  I was building a water tower in PA.  I HAD to hire a union operator for the job but we could do the rest of the work as non union workers.

The union operator I hired had a contract that said I could only move him ONE time per day.  I had 3 pieces of equipment on the job I needed him to operate.  I spent many hours figuring out how to set up my job site so I only had to move this guy one time per day to keep the job running.

Mr. Union called me to the side one day.  He said "It's obvious you spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to move me just once per day."  I said "Yeah, I can't afford to hire 2 union operators."  Mr. Union then told me a secret.  Mr. Union said; "If you will pay ME time and a half everyday I will let you move me as much as you want and you won't have to hire another Mr. Union."  I said "So, is that how the union works?  If I pay you time and a half I get to save 1/2 that I would pay another union operator."  He said "yup" and I said "So, you're willing to **** a union brother out of a job as long as you get MORE?"  He said "Hey, I got to look out for myself!"

That is an honest to God true story.

The DUmmies like simplistic stories like this that don't have any reflection on the truth.

2 more threads on it where they think this is the most clever story or joke ever.

Well dumpmonkey... what you fail to realize is that Mr. CEO put up the money to buy the ingredients. He had no idea if the other two would make a product that people would buy. He took those eleven wunnerful cookies, sold them and made a profit. Then he had money to buy more ingredients and make more cookies. Soon... since the cookies were so wunnerful and they sold quite well, he had to get some more employees and a bigger kitchen, not to mention his suppliers had to increase their factories to satisfy the demand for more raw materials. So now Mr. CEO is employing more people and paying more property/sales/income taxes to the local/federal government, along with his suppliers, and everyone was happy.

Enter Obama and the liberal dems.

Seems the cookies caused people to get fat cause they ate so many of them. Well that didn't sit well with the government so they changed the rules and forced the CEO to change his recipe. Well the cookies weren't as good now so people didn't buy them. The CEO could no longer afford to pay all the new people he had hired so he laid them off. Since he wasn't making as many cookies... his suppliers did the same. Then the epa came along and said his ovens were causing global warming and imposed a tax on him. Then the federal government passed a health care law that Mr. CEO couldn't understand or predict how much it was gonna cost him and he was really worried about cash flow to pay his employees.

Pretty soon, Mr. CEO figured he couldn't make money on his business here so he offshored it to Bum****istan where he could make his cookies like he wanted. Now he is employing people in Bum****istan instead of the US and selling his cookies and making a good profit.

Understand now, you stupid dumpmonkey idiot?
