I wasn't Hi5-ing him, I was just surprised that a post that logical stayed up on DU.
Is this you over there agreeing with NeedleCast?
Hello? Many of the people who responded to Masmdu's post disagreed with it... strongly. I'm one of those people.
Of course. NeedleCast correctly pointed out that the US military and the American taxpayer are part of the same entity.

Surprisingly, most of the responses disagree with the OP.

Before you faint, remember that the DUmp knows it is being watched -- by us and TOS and TOOS and DUmmy FUnnies, etc., et. seq. When they have a chance to lie about how they really feel so they can have a thread that says "I do TOO support the troops" they jump on it.This is purely PR.

I spent 4 years in the Marine Crotch doing absolutely nothing of benefit to humanity as a well trained potential murderer of my fellow humans. I am always perplexed when anyone thanks me for "my service" and am always tempted to ask them "why"? Love of the military always goes along with the rationales for war. I salute, and am grateful to, those who have refused to participate in the insanity of war."The pioneers of a warless world are the young men (and women) who refuse military service." Albert Einstein You? A Marine? Fat chance you ******* liar.

Well, it's good to see the nocturnally foul one's off his life-support system for a bit, but his brain still needs some oxygen.
Hey masmdu... Here is a gift from a 20+ year Air Force Vet And as for this loser:Quotetuckessee (1000+ posts) Wed Apr-09-08 12:17 PMResponse to Reply #4 63. Really? We wouldn't have a country without themWere the Vietnamese communists, Panamians or Iraqis trying to destroy our country? Why? How?I think were lucky to still have a country despite them. Making enemies where none existed before, bankrupting America and trampling the Constitution seems to be US military's post WW2 mission. You forgot about the Serbs in Kosovo! Oh yeah, you forget about those troops because Billy Jeff sent them there. F'n Hypocrits!

To the rest of the DUmmies, go **** yourselves. So you actually think that's rational? No one I know in the military fits that description. My son's not "compelled" by any "macho affectation" nor has he been indocrinated in any way. I hardly see what's rational about stringing together a bunch of psycho-babble the idiot probably read somewhere and probably doesn't even understand itself. Cindie
No that idiot said "war machine" and you agreed with him/her.Trying to change what they said to your description is a dishonest recitation of what you agreed to.What happened is that you got caught agreeing with the troop bashers and now you're trying to worm your way out of it.FOAD.
I don't get it. What gives you the idea that using the term "war machine" to describe the US military is some kind of an attempt to bash US troops?
Of course you don't get it. Your Liberally twisted mind prevents you from seeing things rationally. In the context it was used and by the person that used it....there is no other rational interpretaion or explanation.
