Dear Lurkers, let's talk unions for a moment
« on: February 23, 2011, 06:30:44 PM »
The TEA Party is OUR union.

We're fighting for OUR rights.

We want OUR collective bargaining voice to be heard.

We want OUR wages to be fair even if that means keeping what we fairly earned.

We want those who would presume to manage us to hear OUR demands.

We are organized.

We are ready.

We too can shutdown those who refuse to come to the bargaining table.

And for all you snotty little public employee unionists: you'd better learn who charters your functions and funds your coffers. You work for us. We own you. Government by the consent of the governed...remember?

Don't like it?

This needs to be stickied for more lurking DUmmies.  Let one of them with balls register and argue the points.  Calpig, nadin, any takers?

Well said.

I had not thought of it that way. It is a union, an organization that works toward those members benefit...except for the corruption and top down management...and violence...racism...

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I'd love one of the little shitbags to try their bullshit bouncy arguments. We can go lesbo-et-lago in the FC. The only thing more scared of a bunny than a ptarmigan is a liberal.

Some effective trade unions that trained people in apprenticeship programs and try to keep the riff raff out.  I used to hire out of the union hall sometimes back when I was restoring houses, depending on the level of work required.  Granted this was Florida, and there wasn't any sitting around waiting for hours on union B to move something for union A.

The government unions aren't like that.  A bureaucrats primary function is empire building.  A unions prime activity is to add members to it's rolls to increase profits for the union leadership.  That makes negotiations between the two incestuous, and worse because government spending is so politically manipulated that it bloats beyond what it needs to do regardless of the economy.

FDR opposed government unions. Whatever else, his reasoning for why was sound.  What say you DUmmies?  FDR is in your pantheon of gods, why do you disagree with him?

Where's that prick Yukon? Oh that's right. He pretty much acted like every other hard core union thug I've met, shit on the carpet and had to be removed! Big surprise!

I saw a "dissent is the highest form of blah blah blah..." today.  I haven't seen one in a long time and it occurred to me: for the last two years, dissent has been the vilest form of racism and suddenly it is back to being highest from of patriotism?  What gives?

It depends on who is doing the "dissenting:"

Left dissent toward right=patriotism
Right dissent toward Zero=racism
