Credible Western intelligence reports say that Muammar Gaddafi has fled Libya and is on his way to exile in Venezuela, according to William Hague, the foreign secretary.

Following an emergency EU meeting of foreign ministers on the situation in Libya, Mr Hague was asked if Britain, or other Western countries, knew if Col. Gaddafi had left Tripoli.

“About whether Col. Gaddafi, is in Venezuela, I have no information that says he is although I have seen some information that suggests he is on his way there,” he said.

When did Gaddafi drop the tinpot dictator look in favor of the jihadi Mooselimb garb?  I bet he has an awesome collection of Ray Bans stashed away in a tent somewhere.

They'll always love him a little, as long as keeps up his dues in the America-Hating Club.

I was just noticing the pic with Muamar in his Super Fly tent dweller ensemble and Glorious Comrade Leader shaking hands. The photographer must have just missed the bow.

Well, all I will say about Gaddafi is that every since Reagan bombed him, and almost got him, he hasn't said to much.

I wonder if he finally realized he was nothing more that a petty dictator of an insigifacant county?

Just saw a piece on Fox which purports Moo-mar might still be in Libya and in a bizarre 12 second clip released from the barren fifedom. He asserts he isn't going anywhere. Likely taped just before he commenced to pattering sandals and chasing his plane on its take off run down an old Luftwaffe airstrip, grasping at the door. We shall see.

The only thing for sure at this point is there are a lot of angry people milling around awash in no shortage of weapons, much blood will flow. Libya seems to remain very much up for grabs right now with no clear players visible in the fog of war.

Hell, if I was Moo-mar, I'd take the money and run! Isn't the guy around a hundred years old? I doubt he has a revolution in his blood anymore! The guys a weak sister! Hell, we scared the crap out of him with one bomb when he was 30 years younger!

I'm sure he stashed enough money away in the Caymans, or in a Swiss bank account, it will take care of even his second, third, fourth,.... cousins!

And yet every time I think of Gaddafi, I can't help but at the same time think of Sam Kinison:

Gaddafi's Next Move: Sabotage Oil and Sow Chaos?

There’s been virtually no reliable information coming out of Tripoli, but a source close to the Gaddafi regime I did manage to get hold of told me the already terrible situation in Libya will get much worse. Among other things, Gaddafi has ordered security services to start sabotaging oil facilities. They will start by blowing up several oil pipelines, cutting off flow to Mediterranean ports. The sabotage, according to the insider, is meant to serve as a message to Libya’s rebellious tribes: It’s either me or chaos.

The man is a raving lunatic, likely a paranoid schizophrenic. He knows he is going down and vows to become a martyr which is fine by me. Libya is too murky now to speculate on and may very well remain a lawless wasteland on the Somali model indefinitely. The one thing Whacky Gadaffy is right about is that Europe will indeed be flooded with North African refugees, no doubt about it.
If Libya emerges from the chaos with any semblance of law and order it will probably be as yet another square on the chess board reverting to the stone age under sharia law.

Crap! Just what we don't need!

Oil has already jumped more than $5 a barrel, just because of the unrest. I saw where Libya supplies between 2 and 3% of the worlds oil. Most of which is sent to those European asshats.

Ah, well, don't they ride bikes anyway? The problem is, it will make the price of petrol skyrocket! This is goin' to get serious! We shoulda taken control of the oil fields when we had the chance! I'm talkin' WWII!
