"The nation that couldn’t be conquered by foreign enemies has been conquered by its elected officials" odawg Free Republic in reference to the GOP Elites who are no difference than the Democrats
With all these polls and petitions it is becoming a full time job to keep up.
That's why we pay you, remember?
a nice shovel ready job
I am a union man 100%. Unions are the reason we have good pay, vacations, pensions, benefits, 8 hr days, and a high standard of living. Take away the union at your peril.
I guess there's no laws in Canada mandating minimum wages, 8 hr days, or workplace safety. If there is, you're paying dues to someone who claims to be negotiating something you already have.Unions had a purpose when workers were exploited. That time is past. Now there are laws to regulate how employers treat their employees.
I never had to work for minimum wage. I was in the Union and made great pay with great benefits. You are a sad and jealous person obviously working for minimum wage .
And how much did your great pay and benefits add to the price of the product you provided? Were you worth it?

Who let this a-hole in here? He was shitting all over the place at CU for weeks.Back to your point, I've been working for 18 years or so and have never been in a union. I negotiate my salary/benefits/etc. I'm doing just fine. Why the **** do I need to pay a union to do that for me?
I negotiated every job I've had since I was 19 because I could outperform most off the street.I generally made 20% more than the guys workin' right along side me, because it was nothing more than a paycheck for most of 'em. Once I learned I could build the Space Shuttle off a set of good prints and hit management, it was management who had to do the negotiating.
You can build a space shuttle? How much?
