lol.  I would never attempt fireworks, etc.  I've been to a few in towns that didn't go so well.  It's a wonder they didn't take people out.

My wife and I used to set off fireworks for the family for a few years until Illinois went nuts on requirements for permits.  We never had any accidents or close calls, even though most years we had between $1500 to $2000 worth.  Most were two inch shells with a good assortment of the large rockets thrown in.

I still set my share off every few years. I can get the good stuff off the reservation!  3" Mortars are my favs!

However, the horse don't like 'em much! That's why I only do it every so many years!

3"? pfffft.  You should try a 16" shell sometime.  The launch alone is a show in itself.

As for the horses, at Disneyland, our guns are right next to the Disneyland ranch where they keep the horses that pull the carriages on Main Street.  The horses aren't phased one bit during our shows.  One time we had a 6" dud land in the stables and the ranch hands found a horse kicking it around like a soccor ball the next day.

Well, ya do understand mine are rarely exposed to live fire exercises. The shootin' range is better than a quarter mile away thru the woods and over a hill.
