So yesterday I made my husband a perfect cheese cake, then topped it with sweet cherries, then for a pièce de résistance, sprinkled slice almonds over the cherries....

then the little caterpillars in the almonds started moving.......

so he had a cheesecake with raspberry topping!

7. Most raw foods and cooked grains actualy contain insect eggs.

Let the stored corn meal, flour, crackers, etc get too warm and they'll hatch out.

8. yeah but all almonds are now pasteurized, by law

I'd think that would kill any buggies.

Oh geezuz.

More baby-talk from the primitives.

"Buggies."

How much more infantile can one get?

4. So glad you caught it! I have, in the past, noticed too late the invaders in various stored foods.

5. Thank goodness you caught them...and you weren't serving guests, but I would imagine their appearance would take the romance out of a Valentine's evening.

Uh oh.

franksolich just noticed that his fellow alum Skins launched a quarterly fund-drive again.

Time to break out the lined green accounting paper, to be sure the primitives donate, which Mrs. Alfred Packer hasn't, yet.

I've heard of bugs in flour, but never seen it. The only thing close was once a box of maggots I bought for ice fishing turned into flies.

Well, since cleanliness is next to Godliness, DUmmies naturally will want no part of it.

Maybe they came out of those cherries.  I had to help a neighbor lady pit fresh cherries once when I was a kid, and sometimes there was a worm in them.  I never ate cherry pie again.

Frank, your headline was funny. :-)

Caterpillars?

Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Yeah. Caterpillars.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

What a conundrum! They can rid themselves of "a bunch of cells" with no more regard than blowing one's nose but bring harm to a larva? Gasp, perish the thought! ;)
